Imho, I don't think S-MH12 wants to even say anything positive about Nolan's Batman films :oldrazz:

It's not that I love Elfman (even though I do), it's what sounds better, if you ask me.

A: Why is it that Ock's tentacles have artificial intelligence? Cause it works for the movies
B: I wish he was a nice guy turned nut
A: Scram, don't bug me, I'm a Raimi fanatic, and what Raimi does in movies is right

:oldrazz:

For 9 years I've been wanting a replica suit from Raimi's trilogy. It's THE perfect comic film outfit.

Anyway, I never saw this picture before.

And agreed, SMH12...colors are still too dull, though.

^^ The colors changed depending on the lighting, which worked. It was that way in the comics from time to time as well. Hell, even some artists today dampen the colors in lighting.

Never liked it when they did it in the comic either.

And that McFarlene picture isn't a good example. Sure, it's mostly black but there is still some light blue highlights in it, in the Raimi suit (mostly int the 3rd movie) it was this weird grayish black color with almost no blue. (As in the picture I posted)

It became quite common from time to time though. I never saw a problem with it. I mean, it's good to see artists try to show what they think the suit would look/feel like it in their minds. JRJR did it for a time as well during his Peter Parker: Spider-Man run.

It's really all about lighting.

It is a good example, my friend. The Raimi suit did have blue highlights in the movie. That picture you posted was of a suit from the film premiere, if I remember correctly. Take this for example and I have plenty more. Trust me, there are blue highlights even though it's a darker shading. Like mcfarlane's.

Jack Kirby did it for the cover of Af 15 and Ditko did it with his art as well.

OK, yeah, it was just SM3 then. I thought the blue was lighter in 1 and 2. But yeah, they needless dulled the color in 3.

Well, originally, Spider-Man's costume was red-and-black, but much like what happened to Batman's costume, the black was highlighted with blue, and when the highlighting was misinterpreted as the actual color, it was colored blue.

This is true.

Watching SM3, I noticed something: When did the symbiote separate from the red-and-blue suit? After all, when it first bonds to Peter, he was wearing his red & blue outfit, the symbiote covers it, then later, it is seen hanging in his closet as the symbiote is in the trunk. So how did Peter separate the two again?

I've been wondering about this as well and I can't remember if it's in the novel or not. Maybe it absorbed the suit?

The symbiote did that in the comics, but Peter only seems to have 1 Red & Blue suit at a time in the Raimi films.

That's why I said it was possible. I'll skim through the novelization again tonight and see.

And what was up with Harry's costume as "New Goblin"? Why call him a "Goblin" at all if he doesn't look anything like one? They might as well have just called him "Harry Osborn" and left it at that.
