This one? Isn't it the same from two years ago, but separately?

Jeez, the blue background Blu-Ray covers are an abomination. Wow. So cheap and ugly looking.

The new set looks nice in terms of packaging, though. I own the first trilogy boxed set that was released in late 2007/early 2008 (where the covers are their respected movie posters). I don't understand the lack of features for the first two films though. That's why I still proudly own my regular DVDs. The extra features on the Spider-Man 2-disc DVD are everything. So awesome.

I too, own the original bluray releases, with the slipcover and DVD's. Since this new release has the DVD features, i'm thinking of trading them or selling them. Not the SM2 gift set tho, that's going to the grave with me. :o

I have the Spider-Man 2 gift set as well. It's perfection. :)

It really is! I wanna frame some of the concept art and hang it on my wall soon lol...and yes, the blue background covers are indeed ugly AF

Yes and no. Same content, I believe, but all in one package for $25 ($28 including tax) at Target, and $30 at Best Buy. Front:

Yep! The lack of new features is just...

Huh. The one we've got in Mexico had the exact same covers.

I own the Spider-Man High Definition Trilogy set. Lovely covers on those, unlike above.

Yeah... I own the 2007 set. I see no reason to upgrade at this point.

Do the new Blu-Rays have the special features of Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 intact? I was a little disappointed that the first set didn't.

^ I have the same set and I'm quite content with it.

:hubba

Dat packaging...it's so much better than the horrible blue background covers. I only have a very very basic Spider-Man 3 bluray that I got for $3. I was wanting to get the whole set but I didn't want to buy that sh**ty blue covers and the previous box set was way too high. For $30..that's not bad. I might have to get it when I get some cash on me.

It's worth it! I'm planning on getting rid of the DVDS and other Bluray set, as this now has the features ported over to this set. Really, I just wish they would've put new stuff on it though, like deleted scenes. :csad:

yeah I really want deletied sences. We got them for spider man 2 but not 1 or 3 and form what I heard the 3erd one had like 20 of them including a extended fight with harry and peter.

That new box is nice. I've seen here in the UK there's a trilogy rerelease in a single steelbook. Not gonna bite though. Sony need to stop half-arsing these releases.

I had the 2007 version but I bought the other release for the extras on 1 & 2. Apparently there are still some features missing from the DVD releases, and they dropped the second disc for SM3 so there's a ton missing from that as well *sigh*

I want them to go all out someday. 1.1 and 3.1 to go with the extended release of SM2, deleted scenes, maybe a feature on the cut Twin Towers scene from the original (come on, there's been time to grieve, I'm interested.)

I think the new release has them all, if I'm correct. I need to double check.

Also, yah I agree. I really don't see why it's so hard to just put the deleted footage on a damn disc and sell it. Of all the Raimi films to get a extended release, it was the one that needed it the least, imo.

I got myself the new trilogy set as I didn't own them on blu-ray yet and held it off as the original trilogy set had no special features for the first two films but then the ugly covers of the re-release also put me off lol. I'm quite content with the digipack set. It's about time I had these movies, just wish it had everything from the DVDs. I miss the days where every DVD was a jam-packed special editon filled with so much content. Now its really going down with most movies to be be milked and re-released a million times with a couple of new features to get people to rebuy.

I caved and bought the horrible blue covers a while ago, LOL!!!! So, I am not getting the box set.

Those covers were unforgivable. Seriously, me or a thousand other fans could have done a lot better and I would have done it for free. :o
