KILL THE CHILD!!!! n'uff said
)Aw, but don't you know that Clark/Superman will die a heroic death, and Jason will become the new Superman!
Doomsday should share the screen with no one.
Anyone who really thinks that WB will kill off a cute little kid in a movie that they expect to be successful with families and kids is CUH-RAZY.
Any character/villain is as one dimensional as the people who writes them. These stories are not about the villains its about the villains complimenting the story of the hero. Doomsday is a powerful alien being who has links to Krypton as well as Superman. Given the Singer set up in Returns he could fit as well as a few others. However I would not want to see him or Darkseid under the guidance of Singer anyways. Let him do Brainiac and wam bam poof be gone with him.Doomsday is nothing more than a one dimensional action villian; always will be. He doesnt deserve his own film.

so you think he's gonna tell Jason he and Clark are the same? And i never got this in SR..but does Richard know that Jason is not his son?
I think he should die of natural causes because Kryptonian DNA and Human DNA are not compatable on a molecular level. They've already set up that he's sick, so it wouldn't be a stretch.
Maybe that's the plan all along? To set him up in the first movie, then have him tragically die in the second. And thus Superman realizes he will always be the last of his kind....

All the reasons for bringing Jason into the film degrade the character of Superman.
He never should've existed in the first place.
IMO, the challenge of the next Superman film will be correcting all the mistakes that were made in Superman Returns. A good first step in that direction would be killing off Jason White. Not only because the character sucks, but it would also have a good dramatic effect on the film.
In Superman Returns, Superman found a connection in Jason, it symbolizes the legacy of Krypton living on - which of course if very important to Superman. Having that stripped away from him, plus Jason being the only family Superman has, would be a very interesting thing to see Superman go through. Plus, it would be a step closer to bring Superman back to his roots, which is always a good thing.
do you think there will be a scene superman and his son soaring high in the sky happily, chasing each other? if there is a direct sequel.
