The Official Lex Luthor Casting Thread - Part 5

LOL, like I said before they probably had to twist his arm to do Lincoln.

Billy Zane is old enough now, and somewhat intrigueing, he has always been on most peoples radar

Stop it. Seriously. I don't eve know if you're joking, but if the man were to get an acting transplant, I'm sure people would consider him. But he won't, so if there is a Rao in the sky, Billy Zane won't ever be Lex Luthor.

Shoo, back to the Twilight Zone with you...

Sorry, but I've never heard of this radar you speak of.

Huh...then Zane must have been on the same radar that the iceberg was on for the Titanic.

My suggestions if Lex becomes the villain for a sequel:

I believe that if Lex Luthor was to be portrayed on film, he's got to have some kind of charm to him. Maybe through his mannerisms, slight humor, or even condescending attitude, the actor should have something special to add to the character

- James Franco. I know this may sound unusual but he's a proven actor. He'll add something to Lex to give him some likeability as a villain even though you'll be hating Lex's guts throughout the film

James Franco is an interesting choice... :hmm

I'll have to give this one some thought.

Billy Zane is the perfect lex to Dean Cain's superman haha

lololol.... I really liked Shea's Lex in LnC, but I have always had a strange obsession with Billy Zane that borders on fanatic...lol

Just the thought of Cain and Zane during their prime in a scene together just gave me chills...lol

I don't know if I could have handled that much bad acting in one sitting without vomiting.

Franco as Lex... it's tough to see but I do think he has the chops to pull off a good villain. He started to get there in Spider-Man 2. Too bad they ruined him in Spidey 3.

Franco as Lex?

That has got to be the most
greatest, left field
choices I've heard in years!!!

Guy Pearce! No one else!

NO ONE!!!! :argh:

If that role lasts more than one movie, I'll be shocked.

Ha, I was only kidding anyway. :oldrazz:

Oh, I know. But I'm sure there are plenty of folks in these parts that might genuinely consider him off limits due to his role in IM3. And they need to know what's what. :D

Haha didn't we mention all these guys like 5 pages ago? When people were trying to hype Leo bald. Now it's Franco.

Personal Top 3:
Bryan Cranston
Guy Pearce
Joel Edgerton

Franco would be interesting had he not been in the Spiderman-trilogy.

I think also he's a bit too boyishly in appearance. Too young, too scrawny. Good suggestion though.
If we did go that route though I'd rather have Phoenix.

What will they do with Lexcorp eventually? To keep it from being too much like Oscorp from TASM?

They could do it like Birthright. That the company is all about space exploration, and what humanity can achieve from it all. Like asteroid mining for example. Lex could discover Kryptonite himself and that's how he makes his billions.

Joaquin Phoenix is a nice medium between Franco and DDL. I wouldn't mind that at all
