The Official Lex Luthor Casting Thread - Part 7

He is slowly becoming one of my favorite actors and that's saying something because I pretty much hated him just a few years ago. He proved me wrong. I still think that he isn't right for everything but I feel like he could do something special with Luthor as well.

The thing that appeals to me is how unconventional a choice it would be. I think the suggestions of DiCaprio, Damon, etc. are good, but they seem too safe to me. I don't think it would be bad for them to think outside the box.

Kevin Smith's podcast reviewing Man of Steel is up on Youtube. I was digging into it yesterday and he said through he can't stomach Bruce Willis, he would be his perfect casting for Lex Luthor. Swag, charming and a lead-role presence needed for a character like Lex.

I didn't agree with him there, Willis is far too corny in my opinion. Not a great choice at all.

It's uncanny how much Billy Zane's look captures the feel of the animated series' Lex Luthor. He'd be my first choice, followed by Michael C. Hall and Matthew McConaughey

Everybody pictures him as Batman, which I do too. But I know he would make an awesome Lex as well.

Luke Evans is hot, I enjoy looking at him very much and I like him but I'm not feeling him for Luthor. Still not as frightening as a choice as others on here. It's impossible for me to say "no I don't want to see Luke Evans in a film!"

I've been watching more of his stuff, and I definitely think he could pull it off.

Not many people have seen No One Lives, and I recommend it, because there he could be either Batman or Lex.

Rumor or not, I would totally be down for that casting decision.

Strong would be a great choice but I kind of think he's too obvious of a choice. Tbh the thing I would love most to be true is the sequel would be hitting pre-production by October.
