He has a commanding presence, and hey, he's Kevin mother****ing Spacey man!

He is. :yay:

I liked him in the part, but he had a campy comedic twist which was WROOONG!

This time give me a real nasty Lex, please!
Eventhough Spacey isn't my favorite actor I do think that he would have made a fine serious Lex if he had been given the chance. He still isn't my number one choice though.

I'd like a hot and youngish Lex this time...but thats just me.

"Hot" isnt a word i'd associate with Lex, but yeah, he should be charming and commanding. Not a duffus in a suit.

Patrick Bateman meets Tony Stark. Make it so!

I use that word when I talk about goodlooking guys, I wouldn't expect a hetro male to use that word.

I'm sorry but I don't have any classy way to say it, I wan't Lex to be played by a good, youngish, hot actor.

tom hardy is perfect looknig at that manip perfect

we just need a perfect superman now lol

I can't stand Billy Zane, for me, it's Jason Isaacs all the way. He can be suave, intelligent, bad-ass, intense, you name it, the man was born for this role.

I'm not a fan of Zane, either. It doesn't matter if he looks a bit like the STAS Lex, I just don't think he's that great an actor.

GUY PEARCE FOR LEX. :woot:

How about, "Stuck in Jail until after SR2." I like that idea. We've had Lex for vour of the five Superman movie that have been out now an I honestly want a break from him.:csad:
This.
I don't think u can call this a sequel as I think its considered another 'reboot'. So, in that aspect they need to do something fresh and new instead of the same ol' same ol'. Now I wouldn't be opposed to have hints of Lex in the movie as a secondary bad guy,but the franchise needs a new villain and a break from Lex...

Luthor is as important to Superman as the mob/police are to Batman. Having a Superman movie without the presence of Luthor would be stupid

And that mother****er better not dare utter the word "Land" ever again. :o

Not even as a verb? What's he going to say if he wants Superman to land on top of the LexCorp building? :p

Lex is too big apart of the city to just be left out, especially considering this is a reboot. Since the relationship between the two big boys of Metropolis is unknown at this point, I'd love to see Superman cause some sort of problem for Lex, leading Luthor to get in Superman's face and same something a long the lines of that great Byrne monologue.
You've made a mistake, Superman. A big mistake. A potentially fatal mistake. I run this town, Superman. Metropolis belongs to me. The people are mine, to nurture, or destroy, as I see fit. And they've forgotten that. They've looked at you, with your costume, and your flashy super-human powers...And they've forgotten who their master is. Who is number one!! And I intend to remind them Superman. I'm going to show them you're nothing, Superman. A card-board cut-out.

One day, very soon now, you're going to die, Superman. You're going to be destroyed. And you'll know who's doing it. Everyone in Metropolis will know. But no one will ever be able to prove it. I'll not be arrested again, Superman. Not ever again. Remember, Superman. You're a dead man. It's just a question of how soon.

I not only want an A-list actor in the role for Lex, I want one that can draw in a huge crowd. Someone that will make the average Joe that otherwise might have skipped it say '' Damn, he's gonna be Lex? then I gotta see this''.

Like it was said above, If I even hear this Lex utter the words ''real estate'' I will have a permanent facepalm scar on my face.

You talking geeks here or the average cinema-goer, because they're probably gonna react like that to someone like Bruce Willis.

A-list actor, yes. Box-office-boosting actor, not necessarily.

Who I mean ( but not necessarily suggesting ) are actors like Hanks or Depp. Brilliant actors that are also huge BO draws.
We geeks will see it regardless of who (within reason) is cast as Lex, but what about Joe Q. Public who might have otherwise skipped it but decided to see it because a Depp or Hanks was in the role of Lex.

I hope they first and foremost goes for the talent and not the B.O.

I really just hope they cast a good Lex.
I have a feeling they could do with him what they did with Ledger's Joker. A villain you kinda root for, but not really. One who steels the show. Except, I dont wanna like him, but I'd looove to hate him.
