Isaacs would be a great choice as Lex.

DiCaprio, Bettany and Crudup would be good also IMO.

i don't HATE Sam Worthington.....but i've learned not to like him either. even looking at the possibility subjectively, he just doesn't look or act like Lex.

I'm stealing this from Kesyer Soze in the All Star Superman thread, but John Slattery would make a great Lex.

I have nothing against Worthington. But, does it bother anyone else that he has the same haircut in every movie?

As for Lex, I'm a strong supporter of Joaquin Phoenix for the part.

I agree in both of yours statements.

Joaquin Phoenix for Lex!

Is the Phoenix statement a joke?

Or are we waiting till his acclaimed rap career is over and he decides to return to Hollywood?

yeah Man of Tomorrow he's cleaned himself up and admitted it was a hoax weeks ago. He's back to acting.

Well I know the story behind it...about the Affleck thing, BUT he's not actually involved in anymore Hollywood movies.

I was being sarcastic when I said acclaimed rap career obviously lol...even during the hoax, he did nothing noteworthy.

Well the thing happened a couple of weeks ago I didnt expect him to be back in the saddle within the month. But anyway its reported that he's taking meetings

No, but he's done plenty noteworhy as an actor ;)

I kinda giggle at the idea of Sam Worthington because I don't think he has enough gravitis as an actor to handle it. Or so far.

I mean, look at Michael Fassbender and Tom Hardy; Those guys are on a roll while Sam is somewhat struggling to keep that 'it guy' prospect before it fizzles out.

In fact, I think Sam is the new Kevin Costner, but maybe a step below because admittedly, Kevin has been in really good movies early on.

Worthington is the "it guy" to studios, but it's so weird because he hasnt seemed to caught on with the public at least from what Ive seen

How do they choose their "it" guys and girls? It seems rather arbitrary, because all of a sudden one previewsly unknown actor is in every movie (LeBouf, Worthington, etc).

Luke Evans may be the new It Guy from UK

Robin Hood
Clash Of The Titans
Immortals
Tamara Drewe
Three Musketeers
The Raven

but i hear he is actually good

It's kinda like how Mark Strong has been the 'it' guy too.

But sometimes, they don't catch on. A good example is Collin Ferrel. As much as I liked him in 'In Bruges' and 'The New World', he was in so many movies in the early 2000s, and still now, he's not in the lime light anymore. He never really caught on with the public.

Absolutely.

I keep mentioning him name to my friends, and they keep saying "Who?" Now there's stars like Gemma Arterton who isn't a 'house hold name' yet, but if she continues to do good work (I've heard her latest UK films were good) and avoid crap like 'Clash of the Titans', she has a chance to survive.
