I mentioned this in another thread, but I suppose it should be here.
I would like to see Lex portrayed as a hero, someone who all of Metropolis admires. He is a billionaire philanthropist, eligible bachelor, adventurer, futurist, man of the year, sexiest man alive, etc. Perhaps even suggest that the public would like him to run for President.
And for the first movie, he is left that way, with only the slightest hint that he's not all he's cracked up to be.
Have Clark discover the truth behind his facade but lose his proof. End the movie with Superman confronting Lex and promising to show the public the truth about him.
Make him like Ozymandias should have been in the Watchmen movie. Completely likeable.
Cooper could work in that capacity. Actually, I wouldn't mind Cooper as Lex at all.
