I am sorry, but that was very dumb. We do need an actress that looks like the comics otherwise it isn't going to be Lois. Sure personality and acting abilities are important, but looking like Lois is just as important.

Looks is important but being a dead ringer isn't necessary. You need balance. Someone like Natalie Portman, whom I don't really consider that close to Lois in terns of looks gives me more faith than someone like Greene who I consider a 9/10 in looks. But because Greene looks so good and Portman isn't available, Greene ranks high for me. There really isn't such a thing as a Lois look though. When I think Lois, I think personality. There are probably 50 actresses that could pull off a decent Lois.

I really don't see how personal insults to the actress are appropriate.

I mean, we all have negative comments about the actresses we don't like for the role, but are respectful enough to make them relevant to the discussion at hand, and not simply slagging them off.

FYI that 1st Olivia video has softened me a little bit. It's the most bubbly i've seen her. I agree with Director though, I think her Jawline is too hard. Kind of think she'd make an incredible villain.

Dead ringer, no. There is no one that could be a dead ringer. But they do need to pick someone as close as possible to play Lois. Lois does have a look. Read some comics and you'll see the "Lois look." And in my opinion, Ashley Greene does not have that look, nor the acting abilities. She has too much of a soft face. She's perfect as Alice. The angelic, pixi girl. But she isn't Lois. And I am sure there are many actresses that could pull off the look. But sadly, only about 5 of the names listed on this forum could IMO.

I look at her and I see Ursa, or an evil witch or vampire type. I think that's what her face suits. And she is great at playing cold characters, so it'd work great.

I'm a Stroup fan myself. I watched interviews that made me think she was a fun, open minded person, numerous clips of her on 90210 that make me think she's a good actress, with the flare required for the character. And looks wise, I have never come across another actress I think looks more like Lois Lane (in my mind).

I actually watching Superman The Movie right now on ION, and I gotta say, Lois needs to be old and not look like somebody that came out ofd high school.

Instead of posting this pics left and right, why don't we all post a video of someone who acts and has the personality of Lois?

I think she woulda been a great catwoman. So yes, I see what you mean but I still like her and Rachel McAdams for Lois. Now for Stroup, if she got it, I wouldn't be happy, but I wouldn't be mad. She is just like the whatever candidate for me.

Glamor shots don't tell you enough. You really have to see how they look on video. And Olivia look perfectly normal and "nice" in Tron and in this video. Plus she is the safer bet when it comes to acting based on her resume and upcoming work.

^Don't think that is beautiful. Striking yes, but not beautiful. And I don't think you have much room to talk. Greene's personality is nothing like Lois, and though she is very striking doesn't have the Lois vibe or look.

So some, like me, think YOU aren't really looking at who Lois should be.

Olivia has shown she can play a range of ages in the 20's. She plays a doctor on House. She can be made to look older or younger than Cavill easily. In Tron she looked early twenties. House late twenties.
