I'm a Stroup fan myself. I watched interviews that made me think she was a fun, open minded person, numerous clips of her on 90210 that make me think she's a good actress, with the flare required for the character. And looks wise, I have never come across another actress I think looks more like Lois Lane (in my mind).

I'm sorry, not to single you out, I'm just singling out comments like this which annoy me and many other posters.
You're judging her capabilities for Lois on interviews, clips of a show you don't watch, and looks.
How about actually watching the show or movies she's been in before trying to say how good of an actress she may or may not be?

Right, for the sake of discussing someone who hasn't been brought up for a while... how about Melissa George:

Hell no to Lohman, but I would like Melissa George, I think she's on par in acting to McAdams and honestly I find her to be a prettier version of McAdams.

Olivia has shown she can play a range of ages in the 20's. She plays a doctor on House. She can be made to look older or younger than Cavill easily.

I actually watching Superman The Movie right now on ION, and I gotta say, Lois needs to be old and not look like somebody that came out ofd high school.

Instead of posting this pics left and right, why don't we all post a video of someone who acts and has the personality of Lois?

I think she woulda been a great catwoman. So yes, I see what you mean but I still like her and Rachel McAdams for Lois. Now for Stroup, if she got it, I wouldn't be happy, but I wouldn't be mad. She is just like the whatever candidate for me.

I like McAdams for the role. She's the only 'famous' actress that I would have no grips with getting the role.

Glamor shots don't tell you enough. You really have to see how they look on video. And Olivia look perfectly normal and "nice" in Tron and in this video. Plus she is the safer bet when it comes to acting based on her resume and upcoming work.

if one think that DOnner got right was casting Clark, Lois, and Lex and possibly the Superman suit, EVERYTHING ELSE IS JUST CORNY.

Is Snyder going to see all of 90210 before deciding whether or not he thinks she would be right for the role? No. At the most he would see a few clips, showing her acting ability. Then he would have her read for the role of Lois.

Why on earth should I then, have to have actually watched all of the television show she has appeared in, in order to suggest her on this forum, and to make a statment that I think, from what I have seen, that I like her acting.

I am not the kind of person who suggests based just on looks (unlike so many people who just suggest their favourite HOT actress for every single female role on this forum).

When I first saw a picture of Jessica Stroup I was drawn in. I have watched ALOT of clips of her on 90210. When she ran out in front of the train. When he mom was rushed into hospital. First kisses, break ups. Normal conversational scenes. Pretty much everything I could get my hands on because I really enjoy watching her act.

I don't think I need to justify my opinion to you by watching 3 seasons of a show I have very little interest in.

Donner's movies are very very dated. The casting was right for time time. IMO Margot Kidder was the best of it, and she was a pretty good Lois Lane.

That has absolutely no impact on what they should be looking for in this movie though.

I personally would like to see a change.

That's not how auditions in the movie industry work. And neither you or anyone else here is Snyder. Snyder knows enough to not support an actress without seeing at least some projects she's been a part of.

Then watch the show/movie where you enjoyed watching her to have a full opinion on her acting before touting her for a role where you barely seen her in anything.

Again, I didn't say all of her shows/movies, but the fact you couldn't even try to watch one full show where you can actually truly form an opinon on her acting doesn't give much weight to your opinion of her as an actress.

I think they do. Most of the fans, like myself, when any member is casted, do research on that character. They are going to see that she was in Twilight and be PISSED. And fans will be happy if it is one of the main three. Seeing as how we want those three. Most fans were happy when Cavill got casted and he was one of the main three actors suggested by fans.

She does have much creditability beside's her roles in Twilight. She has been in a few movie, but no one has really seen them so most people judge her from Twilight. I don't think she has the experience nor the look for Lois. But yes, most fans do care. Read some of the older Lois Casting threads. They flipped when they though Kristen Stewart was going to be casted and many said all Twilight members should be banned from any castings.
