just got done watching Sherlock Holmes again...i like McAdams, but she was very unconvincing in that role. on top of that, hearing about how Wilde comes from a family of journalists definitely makes me favor her.

so...now, more than ever, i hope Wilde gets the part.

Wilde having a family rooted in journalism can only strengthen her approach for portraying a reporter, but leave it to 'Director' to spin this to make it sound like a detraction. i guarantee that if your fantasy girlfriend had a similar background you'd be using it to fuel your absurd campaign as well...

Erica Durance was the perfect Lois Lane IMO. She is hot, but not the hottest girl ever and certainly not a plain Jane and she had the personality more so then any of the other Lois' IMO. Smallville casted a perfect Lois.

She does look better after they botoxed her and darkened her hair.

BUT she can be easily topped.

Wilde leaves Durance in the dust, as well as many other actresses.

Completely agree, we need somebody that can act like the Lois that Erica Durance does in Smallville.

She has a great and natural Lois quality, but she's a terrible actress. If they can find someone with that "quality" but that can also ACT, that would be ideal.
Also, Durance's Lois is really neurotic... and borderline annoying sometimes.
But besides that, I mostly agree. she does bad-assery, comedy, headstrong, etc. pretty close to the way it should be done for Lois.

Dude take her out of all that make up and lip gloss and die her hair dark and she's normal... And honestly to me she's just ok. No where near too hot. I have never seen to hot in Hollywood... only bad acting or bad direction or a bad script or even bad wardrobe.

you absolutely can't judge people just by pictures. in interviews - in the same getup that you think looks trashy - she comes across as both classy and fun.

i think she could be really great for the part - she's got the headstrong quality that Lois needs, and I think she could do really well with comedy given the chance. she's pretty hilarious in real life:

plus she's a pretty stellar actress.
she just might be too young, though. she looks older for a 20-year-old, but maybe not old enough to match up with cavill. but maybe that's the age range they're looking for?

but she also might be involved in the hunger games series, so there could be scheduling conflicts...

she's not my first choice by any means, but i see potential. and i think she's super cool.
