Not really. Those were his four most recent posts in this thread. That took me about five minutes.

But you're right; sorry. Let's refrain from picking on grammatical mistakes. Let's go back to calling each other stupid for making various casting suggestions and calling various actresses ugly because they're not someone's ideal Lois Lane.
Guess that last part was directed towards me. And I hope I didn't use the word ugly, I may have but that was messed up of me.

However, an actress' level of attractivenesses for this part is a big deal, so if I think someone is not as attractive as the role calls for, then I think that is a bad candidate. And the point of this forum is to judge the candidates.

So in my opinion, along with judging personality and acting ability, judging looks is an important role in this forum.

I left the word "actually" there to see if you catch it, apparently you decided to except it.
This is hysterical. In your entire exchange about grammar, which lasted about a page and a half, I don't think you guys wrote one single post that didn't have a grammar or spelling error in it, hahahaha!

First of all, your opinion on the character of Lois Lane is severely misguided because Lois Lane should not be played by a supermodel.

Second, attractiveness is subjective. A certain person may not be attractive enough to you, but more than attractive enough to someone else. So you commenting your subjective view of anyone's attractiveness is irrelevant, especially when it's a beautiful movie star like Abbie Cornish or anyone else who is generally considered attractive by the mass public. It's absurd.

Third, while I'm at it I'll just mention that, with all of these choices -- Olivia Wilde, Abbie Cornish, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, etc. -- there's so much talk about the look, how she looks, but no talk about actual personality or screen presence. The way the actor comes across on screen is far more important than the look of her mere facial features.

The woman who has the perfect facial features could not seem Lois Lane-like at all when you see her in live-action. So I think you all should be focused more on the actor's screen presence, not just photographs.

I didn't started this grammer war fool, oh, and thanks for making me 5 minutes of your life.

I didn't realiaz.

Boy, I hope that we get a casting confirmation in regards to who's playing Lois in this film within the next two weeks.

Though on a sidenote, we'll probably go from debating as to who should be Lois and who's fit enough to play the character to debating as to whether the actress chosen is good enough.lol

I can agree with zach's list, but I'd move blunt into the good category based on wild target.

It wasn't directed towards you, sorry... I just think people here are getting so hung up on their own personal choices that they're writing off actresses who would probably do a good job if cast. And I think attractiveness is important, but I think we all have to understand that just because a particular actress might not be someone's cup of tea, she most likely is someone else's. Let's face it... Hollywood is superficial as hell. There are very few leading ladies out there that aren't pretty.

You guys might want to cut this out. I could just see a mod wandering in on this at any moment.

First of all, you are wrong with the accusation that I want Lois to look like a super model. I want her to be attractive yes, but Olivia Wilde is the only supermodel type I like for the part. You are severely misguided on my take on Lois.

Second, I agree. An actress can seem hot to me but not others is fine. And if you noticed, almost ever post I do say "IMO." And the point of a forum is to give your opinion. Just like you did above saying Abbie Cornish is beautiful. And I also stated how I don't think she has the Lois look. And I could careless about the mass public. I am stating my opinion. I don't think she is attractive at all, so when people suggest her, I am going to disagree and say why. Sorry, but I don't want Lois to look like that. ONCE AGAIN PERSONAL OPINION, which does happen to be relevant to this forum seeing as how that is what a forum is FOR.

Third, I have talked about screen presence and personality. I think Olivia Wilde has a bubbly personality that can somewhat be annoying but at the same time sexy. She can kick butt and she is my vision of Lois. <---I have gone into further detail but in this case, don't think I need to repeat myself. You want the full explanation, back track and find it. And I agree that the way an actress comes across on screen is important, but the looks also matter. If you find someone unattractive, you don't want them to be cast for a role that is generally attractive(not supermodel attractive like you think I want). And unlike the mass population, which you stated above, I have a mind of my own. Just because everyone else thinks Miss Cornish is attractive, does not mean I do.

And I don't think any of us can talk about how the actress will do in the film, because that is all going to be based on chemistry. And even you wouldn't know who has chemistry and who doesn't.

Thank you for gracing us with your insightful view, Mr. Filmmaker. :whatever:

She is in my good list as well. I just needed to make all the sections have at least to and so I bumped her down.
hahaha

What I find strange is the overall lack of rumors we've received regarding two of the key characters in the story: Lois and Lex. We had those initial rumors with Stewart, Wilde and some other possible contenders (McAdams, MEW), and then... nothing. And we've heard nothing whatsoever about Lex, to my knowledge... just some Zod and Brainiac rumors.

Then there was the whole "mystery female" thing, which featured a list of blondes that were supposedly testing for the role, and then Seyfried tested for a part that I could only assume would be for the same character (maybe not, but it would just seem like she would have just said "I tried out for Lois Lane" instead of "I tried out for a role").

Anyway, I think you can pull off a Superman movie without Lex. I wouldn't prefer it, but Snyder might feel he's been beaten to death. But you can't have a Superman movie without Lois.

I know, it's killing me!

At least we know there's a female role apart from martha...unless....nah lol

So i just watched Morning Glory and Rachel Mc Adams was fantastic in it. In many scenes she was totally Lois. I loved her.

The movie was pretty cool too. A chickflick but a very good one with not so many cliches (they will all be there in the WW tv series i fear, but that's irrelevant). Oh and Harrison Ford was so entertaining. Thanks Flickchick!

I can actually see mcadams and cavill having better chemistry than cavill and wilde.

That's funny since nobody has ever suggested an actual supermodel for Lois. :woot:
