So...

Just finished morning glory. It was a very solid movie, but I was especially impressed with mcadams. She's just such a fantastic actress. You come here every day and see people posting the same pictures of the actresses they want for the part, and you start tending to focus on just looks alone and forget how important every other aspect of playing a character is, and in this lois-like role, rachel just totally knocks it out of the park.

I was really looking at some other actresses, but this for sure solidifies her as my top choice for the role. It would be amazing for her to get the part, and with who she is rumored up to be against, anyone other than her is just going to be based on age or marketability and not talent. coughbiel.

Harrison Ford wasn't half bad either. I was impressed.

Twilight, sure, I'll give you that. But Smallville caters to "younger" audiences, not "female" audiences. I have no idea where you're coming from on the L&C thing. That never catered to female audiences.

I had a scoop from an interview that Gemma Arterton had tested for both the dark knight rises and superman and Nolan chose her for the villain role in dark knight, but due to a problem she had in her program she turn the offer down,because the filming of the dark knight begins in one Month and Gemma is on the set of Hansel and Gretel..!! Maybe he chose her for the Lois part because when the filming of superman starts , she will have finished the filming a month earlier ..!

I can't say I'm a huge fan of McAdams in general; she has just never really stood out to me. That said, through this insane 18-part thread I have to concede that when it comes to combination of "the look" and acting chops, she has to be considered pretty much Top 3 and I would be equally as pleased with her casting as I have been with the other three...

I think Rachel McAdams would be a nice Lois Lane, she isn't my first choice just because I don't know if she'll really take the role because she turned down other superhero roles in the past.

I don't think her age is a problem, actually, she's in the right age for Lois, plus, she looks younger, like the same age as Cavill, and I believe she'll continue aging pretty well. If in the end of the trilogy she's 40, she'll be just like Rachel Weisz, for example:

40 AND GORGEOUS!

You know what I think this picture just proves Olivia is actually human. She doesn't look like a Goddess but she's still really pretty, I mean just look at her eyes.

It's funny, I've actually started even saying 'Lois' accidently when describing Olivia. Must be because she fits with the role so well.



Btw, I wasn't a big fan of GIAU, he seemed a bit arrogant. He was okay at first giving out long thought out opinions on Lois. Yet became a bit full of himself when he said his opinion was the only right one and put others down.

I guess I'm not suprised he's now banned.

In the picture of Olivia, it shows she's humas as well as tha picture of Abbie without makeup shows she's human, they don't seem ugly chicks because of that. IMO Abbie is prettier than Wilde without makeup actually.

But they're not my favorites, my top choices are Mary E. WINstead and Rachel McAdams.

Weisz is 100x better looking than Rachel McAdams though.

I do think Weisz is better looking than McAdams (and McAdams better looking than Wilde). But what I mean is that McAdams will probably be still young looking and pretty by 40, like Weisz.

Wilde has McAdams beat lookswise by a massive lead, but that's just the opinion of me, a straight male.

As far as McAdams goes, Deadline/Variety already reported the studio doesn't want too huge a name for the female lead(s) as it would overshadow Cavill.

My bet is we're getting an 'up and coming' actress starting to make buzz in Hollywood, as opposed to an established big name.

Why would a big name overshadow Cavill? Was Bale overshadowed by Neeson, Freeman and Caine? I think a big name would help him and the movie a lot.

So i just watched Morning Glory and Rachel Mc Adams was fantastic in it. In many scenes she was totally Lois. I loved her.

The movie was pretty cool too. A chickflick but a very good one with not so many cliches (they will all be there in the WW tv series i fear, but that's irrelevant). Oh and Harrison Ford was so entertaining. Thanks Flickchick!

After watching that movie, I don't know that there's ever been a more perfect choice for Lois Lane.
