A Lois announcement has to be the next piece of big casting news coming. It's been quiet for so long now, it's bound to happen next. TBH, I would be happy with ANY casting news right now, but I'd like it to be Lois.
After watching that Sarah Shahi video in the other thread I hope she's looked at for the part. Will her show prevent her from shooting a movie?
You and I both (obviously). I doubt scheduling with USA would prevent it. They have postponed shows before if a particular actor/actress had something going on. It's not the norm for them, but they have enough other original programming to get by.
And why has Sarah Shahi not been added to the poll for a NEW thread![]()
Because the poll is broken.
They may pull a Spider-Man and bust out with Lana for this one and save Lois for a sequel.
But, as has been pointed out before, Lois is more important to the Superman mythos than a made-up character like Rachel is to Batman. Lois is the reporter who breaks the Superman story, she reports on Superman, she works for the Daily Planet, so she's more than just a love interest. So even if she's not the main love interest of the movie, she'll still be in it.
I strongly doubt Ursa, a character that was made up in the 1978 movie, would show up in the reboot. If they want a fresh take on Superman, they wouldn't pick a character who was created in the old movies. The Variety/Deadline articles confirmed 3 female roles in this film. I'm assuming they are Martha, Ursa, and Lois.
She could have auditioned for Ursa or Lois and got shut down from those.
My guess for the three main female characters is...
1. Martha Kent
2. Lana Lang
3. Lois Lane
I wouldn't mind it.The other day I was trying to think of who might come out of nowhere and get Lois and I was like "Watch Kristen Bell get the role."
She DOES look pretty good with dark hair.
I wouldn't mind it.

well, it's more likely for Lana. I could picture her as the country girl from Smallville.
I wouldn't mind it.
