Yeah this would be odd, and quite great, if a Superhero film casting actually falls in line with a lot of the fanboy's wishes. What would we have to argue about lol. Oh wait, there is that pesky suit business....

If McAdams is cast I'll be ecstatic

yeah, cavill being my first choice for supes, and mcadams being one of my top choices for lois, it will be a dream come true.

Definitely and will only further my faith in Snyder :D

if McAdams gets the part (i'd rather her than Biel) then i hope they give her bangs. her forehead can be overwhelming sometimes.

considering this is supposedly a retelling of Superman's beginnings...nope. i don't have an issue with younger women playing Lois as long as they can project a maturity beyond their age, which i feel Stroup does pretty well. besides, younger actresses will probably still look good 5 to 8 years from now if a third movie is made, where as an actress in her 30's might be looking rough by then.

Considering they were adamant to cast a Superman who was 28-32 years old, they obviously want a mature cast.

Jessica, while completely lovely, is probably going to be playing High School/College age characters for a few more years, just like Emma Stone and Kat Dennings. And this is regardless of the fact that she's 24. You could tell me she was 27 and I'd feel the same way.

And do you really think a 30 year old actress is going to look "rough" by the time she's 36?

even tho she was in Wolverine Lynn Collins would'nt be bad

yet they went with the younger side of that age range. i'm not saying Lois should be a college student...but i wouldn't mind seeing a younger actress either. if the rumors about them considering Kristen Stewart and Dianna Agron (Stroup's age) are true then it would seem they, too, are open to a younger Lois.

i don't disagree that she'll be playing college-aged characters for a while, but i don't think that's all she CAN play. it all depends on how mature she plays the character she's portraying.

note that i said "MIGHT BE" not "WILL BE"...

This is all true. We'll see.

Damn. Lynn Collins would be excellent for Wonder Woman! Why hasn't anyone thought of that before?

How I'm the only onw who's suggested Cobie Smulders astounds me.

Shame on you. Shame on all of you. :o

1) you're not the only one
2) never heard of her until this thread
3) can't find any videos of her acting
4) don't really care for her look

Boy, I cannot understand the fascination Hollywood has with Jennifer Biel. (Well, beyond her looks).

Did you watch LOST? That's Kate half the time to a "T".

I really don't agree. Kate was miserable 70% of the time, always pensive and serious. I don't remember her smiling a lot, and she always seemed to be sighing in some kind of 'i have the weight of the world on my shoulders' way...

She was sneaky, and she was disobedient, but she didn't have the quality that i'm talking about.

Basically Lois has to be HAPPY. Yes, not everything about her life is perfect, but she's enthusiastic and relishes in the adrenaline of her job's dangers, of doing things people have told her she 'CAN'T' do, and of beating other people to the story. It makes her giddy. She gets that glint in her eyes, and she grins, and she's proud of the fact she's pushed the boundaries again and gotten away with it... because she knows the lines she can't cross.

That's what was undeniably missing from Bosworth. Any Lois Lane who spends 70% of the movie looking pensive and sighing, is a bad Lois Lane.

But even Margot Kidder's Lois (who i'm not the biggest fan of), convinces herself it's okay to be on the bottom of an elevator with terrorists inside, climbing up the eifle tower, by repeating and spelling out 'Nobel Prize'.

she's got a pretty face and a SMASHING body...but that's about it for me. her personality doesn't do anything for me.

Well she is beautiful, (eye of the beholder I know, but c'mon, at least her body is undeniable) and in the right part, like a Wonder Woman or something physical, she would be one of my first choices too.

Your not... I did yesterday when I posted my top ten choices... posted a nice picture of her too...

I really don't get the fascination with Smulders or her overrated TV show. If NPH wasn't as funny as he naturally is, that show would have been cancelled years ago.

I did a quick manip of the pair of Henry and Rachel. IMO they look pretty good as Lois and Clark.

Agreed, and would make quite a good one at that I think. Biel too. I just can't quite see it for Lois though

Well maybe we should start... There is that lil show that was recently picked up by NBC with the same name :cwink:

And I'm all for McAdams! With bangs of course. :woot: Thats how i pictured her too.

Plus she's really short and that will help all those with issues on Cavill's height.
