ummmmmmm....no

my top 3

1 - Jessica Stroup
2 - Alison Brie
3 - Rebecca Hall

and if i must choose 5

4 - Mila Kunis
5 - Rachel McAdams

Our taste in actresses are pretty different.

I like Stroup a lot though I can't say anything about her acting.
Alison Brie is way to innocent to be Lois in my opinion.
Rebecca Hall is not nearly attractive and even if she was more striking, her looks don't fit.

4.Yes
5.Yes

IMO.

s'all good

i've seen enough clips of her to know that she can hold her own...and she demands attention when she's on the screen.

you'd be surprised, she often does racy photo shoots and her character in Mad Men has shown hints of darkness. she's also done a brief comic skit (floating somewhere on the web) where she proposes a bunch of sexual fetishes to an agency of some sort.

Rebecca Hall is not nearly attractive and even if she was more striking, her looks don't fit.
i think she fits the mold of Lois pretty well. she's not drop dead gorgeous but i find her unconventionally attractive. she's not the most charismatic actress, but she always does a great job in her roles.

I disagree. Mila Kunis had a deceptively challenging role, as she essentially has to play two performances at once. One as the innocent, well-intentioned friendly girl who the character probably actually is, and one as the conniving, scheming skank that Natalie Portman's character conceives her as being. She has to simultaneously be convincing as both personas, as her opinion of her character sways back and forth.
And to her credit she pulled it off wonderfully. But also to be fair, it was Darren and Natalie that gave her the opportunity to flex those acting muscles. Before this movie Mila was not considered the type of actress that could or would pull it off. Until Fox or any other actor considered to be bottom tier, is given good material, I don't think they should be concretely written off.

Jesse and Mila's performances this year proved with the right direction, actors can break out of their shells.

What did Mila do that was so very special in Black Swan?

Her performance overall was just really good. She was believable and unlike many other actresses, she is not a just a line reader.

personally, i don't think she was as great as everyone makes her out to be. she wasn't exceptional, but she played her role well and gave the movie some much needed personality. she (and Portman) also worked her @$$ off (quite literally) to portray convincing ballet dancers.

I agree with pretty much everything Dorkyfresh says, whatever he says, I'll go along with.

McAdams... I just don't know what to think of her. She obviously seems to be the most popular choice on this board. But a 5 year age gap?

People need to remember when Chris Reeve and Morgot Kidder hooked up and how many people complained about her looks.
Especially in the 3rd and 4th movies.... However she was only 4 years older.

Not saying McAdams wont look gorgeous when she's 39 but I would rather start younger than that.

 yeh...i've noticed that our opinions on Lois are pretty similar.

"Did we just become best friends??" - Step Brothers

Cool, Zach.

I've always pictured Lois as being a little older than Clark.

I understand where you're coming from but honestly, she is aging great and looks around the same age as Cavill.

Great point. But look at Kidder. She started out 30 in the first film but look around 35. She's not a great example simply because she didn't look young like McAdam's does now.

Olivia Wilde would work too.

If theyre going the super commercial route..

And she was ugly as ****!!!

i did'nt think mila was anything special in black swan either she did good coming from that 70's show

just like ashton did good in butterfly effect

both did good when seeing where they came from

McAdams seems like the best fit for me. Not only is she good looking and has that sexuality, she's also firm and carries herself well. She's a good balance of what Lois should be.

Book of Eli and Black Swan both showed me Kunis is not some throwaway actress.

I have a hard time seeing Kunis as Lois Lane.

Same here. I want a mature and good looking Lois. After we god Kidder and Bosworth, we deserve better. McAdams just covers all bases.

Her chances are quite good. But the rest of that list sucks. I don't mind Biel, but she ain't no Lois.

I don't see how Kunis isn't mature or good looking.

I wouldn't mind McAdams if this was just one movie and there are no future sequels. I am concerned with her age, if they were to release a sequel say, every 3 years. That means she'll be 39 when the third one comes out. I think ideally the actress should be around the same age as Cavill or a year older max, or a year younger. We can't really know how well she will age as she gets older.
