Well if they are not brothers but related they could still be cousins or uncle and nephew
Singer said that there would be some sort of connection between these x-men and the first class we know from the comics , so its very possible that Havoc and Cyclops might be connected in someway just maybe not brother, father son realtionship is def a possibility.
Also whats the big deal with Havoc having red energry beams? What color would you prefer?Besides red any other color would cheesy
Yeah some X-men fans were not happy how Cyclops was handled in the trilogy so I can see the Havok thing making them even more annoyed.
Whats so wrong with having Havoc be Cyclops the father?
OK so they aren't Father son in the comics, so ****ing what?
Making them father son wouldn;t really ruin the character on film.
Comic book fans need to realize that what goes on in the comics DOESN'T need to happen in the movies.
I accept the changes they have done on the trilogy.
Im not a hardcore fan of the comics.
But making a character as well known as Havok the father of Cyclops, when in the comics they have an interesting relationship as brothers is too much.
What I hate the most is that Fox, Singer an co. know very well how bad Cyclops has been treated on the trilogy, so this could have been the chance to start to please the Cyclops fans. To use Cyclops on the sequel with a good development and Havok later, creating a great brothers relathionship on the big screen.
Again, for me, this decision is a totally fault of respect to the fans, whatever the story could "need".
Its a Fault of respect to the comics, and to the fans. pure and simple.
definetly.
I respect Singer, but this decision reveals even more that Fox and Singer dont care at all about the fans of the comics, and Cyclops fans.
and I dont like that. Its a fault of respect, in my opinion.
Singer and Vaugh should know how pissed the Cyclops fans are with the trilogy.
I dont understand how now they can decide to make Havok older than Scott, and probably not brothers.
Thats wrong, guys. You should have some respect for Cyclops fans after the bad role he had on the trilogy, specially on X3.
and Im not even a Cyclops fan. But this is how I think about this whole issue.
At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if Havok is Cyclops' father.
So lets put this in perspective Lucas till in the movie universe would have to of been born between 1942-1945 to match his age in the movie since he looks about 18-20.Which would have him be born a good 30 years before Cyclops in the movie universe so i think it likely makes more sense for him to be his father rather than his brother who would be 30 years apart from each other.
would it make more sense for them to be father and son or be brothers 30 years apart?
