EA The Official Mass Effect Thread - Part 2

it was to be expected . they are in bad place the dog house with their audience. to their upper managements chose's.

Well the dog house better put out some big dlc soon beside MP stuff because I'm already getting bored and the thought of selling the game has crossed my mind.

I actually ovall enjoy the game but it's just there now and am tempted to use the hard drive space for oher games.

hmmm that might be why they are pushing down the price so much, to get people buying again or their boss's at the top at Ea won't give the approval.

I went ahead and jumped at that price. Got bored with Dragon Age Inquisition and figured Id change it up with some other hit or miss bioware game.:p

It's a hit..just not a bullseye, better than missing the whole target

Once Persona 5 came out, I shelved this game and haven't touched it since.

still waiting for whatever Character Character patch they put out. hopefully, it's sooner rather than later.

I'm addicted to the multiplayer but have got a bit bored with the single player.

I played the MP like twice, it's alright but I rarely play online now except for certain games and so I rely on single player.

30 minutes in Liam froze up in a fire.

I set the run control to toggle so that i wouldnt have to hold the joystick down. I can click the joystick, point Ryder in a direction, set the controller down and Scott would just keep running non stop without me pressing the joystick forward. I had a good laugh at him trying to run through a wall for a minute. Usually toggle mode just means you dont have to keep the joystick pressed down, but this makes it so you can click it once and take your thumb entirely off the joystick and your character will run indefinitely like Forest ****ing Gump in whatever direction he is pointing. Not sure if that was a glitch.

Mass Effect: Andromeda | News | 10 Comments

Bioware's Mike Gamble has sent out a Twitter post to let Mass Effect Andromeda players know that the second major patch for the game will be out on Wednesday, May 10th at 9:00 am Pacific / 12:00 pm Eastern. As yet, the patch notes have not been posted.Read more

"more options and variety for character creator"

That should make a lot of people happy.

I'll be interested in hearing feedback on this patch. I've been thinking about getting this game as I've just finished Horizon Zero Dawn. Been deliberately holding off until it's patched though. Is this game still very buggy??

The multiplayer crashes every now and then (was way too frequent at launch). I haven't come across bugs in the single player but there were a lot of complaints about the character creator and voice animation/acting.

Also got this this may be a project separate onto it's self, meaning it's own thing. But seeing destiny keep being mention and the closet thing to that was the former mass effect MMO?.....

'The game is built around a live service.'

BioWare is working on something big, though what it is, they aren't saying yet. However, it was revealed earlier today in EA's Fiscal Earnings Call that the game is now planned to release during the Fiscal Year 2019, which is between April 2018 - March 2019. Mixed in with the announcement were a few vague descriptions that appear to give some credence to the "Destiny-style" game that was previously rumored by journalist Liam Robertson.
Here's the quote courtesy of NeoGAF.
"We’re very pleased with the progress of our new action IP from BioWare. The Design is stunning. Gameplay mechanics are excellent, and the action will be exhilarating. The game is built around a live service, and through our creative process, we decided to add more to the disruptive new social design for our players.
To accomodate that, we are moving the launch date for this project into fiscal year ’19."
So to break it down, here's what's confirmed.

 • It's an Action game
 • It will be focused on online multiplayer. (The "live service")
 • Social features are important to the game's design, and BioWare thinks they are going to break some new ground. ("Disruptive new social design")
Liam Robertson's rumor pointed to an E3 2017 reveal, and given that the game could come as early as April 2018, that's looking like a pretty safe bet as well. Of course, until something is confirmed, keep the hyper meter on the DL.

Great, another MMO. It's clear now that EA bought BioWare to turn them into an MMO factory. How typical...

So the Mass Effect series has been put on hold and the Bioware Montreal team has been demoted to a support studios assisting other Bioware and EA projects... Interesting...

It's a hit..just not a bullseye, better than missing the whole target

Is it a hit because it's a genuinely good game that deserves success, or is a hit because it's riding on the coattails of a beloved franchise?

I just want the Old BioWare back. When they still gave a **** about the games they made and strove, even if they didn't always succeed, to be the best story based developer out there.

EA, if you're reading this, take one in the wallet, wrangle some top notch devs together, and give them the time and resources to make a critically acclaimed game. You will make that money back and more in the long run. The Witcher 3 and Skyrim is proof.

I genuinely care and like most of the characters and the story is interesting. I miss Shepard and the feel of the original trilogy but I also really enjoy the Star Trek feel here.

I want a sequel to this someday!

BioWare is shuffling people around, and it appears as if the future of Mass Effect is on hold.

Ubisoft did something similar with AC after Unity **** the bed and Syndicate undersold. They pulled the next game from the 2016 calender and didn't set a firm date for the next game and they tried to make changes and address stagnation and problems in the franchise. After ME: Andromeda it might be a good idea to step back and really look at their mistakes and correct them with the next game.

their next project was already under way being worked at the same time with andromeda. they said that from the start before Andromeda was named . with other studio's under the bioware umbrella . it just mean the other project will take even longer to come out.

with andromeda they were planning trilogy too. so they can still have that other one still worked on.

it's montreal that's being re structured which as we know they were gimped by middle managemant and certain people at the top . truth be told they need re structure the people giving the orders and not the actual workers.

EA have officially F'd up the Mass Effect series!
