I had to uninstall an entire game just to fit this game in (running out of space on my PS4).

Not finished with my playthrough yet but... it seems okay. Maybe I am benefiting from playing it after its been patched a billion times but I am not completely hating it. I am annoyed at how I have no power wheel to use abilities that I don't have hot keyed to my controller's buttons, and I am annoyed that I have no real control over my two party members other then to tell them where to take over (any combos are purely situational and it sucks I can't plan them out, which undermines the idea that I am supposed to be the squad leader).

All prior to this it was put up on vdeo news out lets like EPN.tv this week that the Story DLC that was canceled for mass effect andromeda will be fallowed up on and finished in the comic's that were linked to the game.

Shame the story couldn’t continue in DLCs like the previous games. Can’t believe how quickly such a big franchise has been forgotten.

So the deluxe version is 25 bucks on Amazon, and having reached a "meh, **** it" phase with MEA, I'm considering picking it up. Or perhaps I should wait for a possible Black Friday sale?

I was thinking of picking this up but I kind of want to see the insanity/bugs of the original release so I'd be looking to get a physical copy.

I was a big fan of the ME series but 3 lost me entirely with the Citadel DLC sort of getting me back.

Should I bother or is this just a ****show from EA again?

So what were the 3 dlcs they were planning before they realised how poorly their ME:A was being developed given they were more interested in their Anthem instead of treating this release properly?

I don't believe there was any single player DLC planned to begin with.

I haven't even finished the single player campaign for this game yet.

The backlash against the game was over the top, but it's a very mediocre game. Even as a big fan of the franchise there were moments that were a struggle for me to get through.

And with any direct sequels cancelled and the franchise shelved (not to mention no DLC), there's not a lot of incentive for finishing a 60+ hour game that's lacks a definitive ending with most of the story's mysteries left unresolved.

I know this game is pretty much dead now, but I'm actually gonna give it another shot.

Been watching the Netflix Voltron series, and I guess that gave me an itch for a space combat/exploration game.......lol.

plus, I'm now inspired to create a new character based on Princess Allura.

It’s a shame as this was one of my very top gaming franchises. We could have had 3 top tier games this gen like last, with a ton of DLC content to keep things going in between. The multiplayer mode in this game was really good but the whole vibe and relevance of Mass Effect seems to have largely evaporated for the time being due to this muck up. It’s not that the campaign isn’t enjoyable, it just isn’t where it should be as a new gen Mass Effect game.

Better come back with a vengeance when it does. A shame as there were no weak links in the first 3 games.

Nothing will ever take away from the phenomenon that was the OG trilogy.

Before this generation is over, I’m not giving up hope that ea has it in the back of their minds that they can still do a remake.

ea actually hasn't ever done remasters

it's nice to see publishers having the sentiment of not saturating the market with a remaster (ea of all publishers to say that) but ME is one series that could definitely benefit, practically speaking, with a remake/remaster. there were so many technical problems with the original series last gen on consoles than a remake with more fluid presentation could revitalize interest in the series.

I'd love at least the 1st Dragon Age game remastered. I could do without DA 2.

speaking of which, I'm surprised DA 2 has yet to be added to Xbox 1 BC.

Same here. I was so bloody hyped for this game considering that ME is one of my most favorite franchises. I wasn't able to play the game right at launch so most of the bugs were already taken care of when I got my hands on it but the game felt wrong from the start. And I'm not talking about the technical stuff (sure it's there but I can see past animation glitches and what-not), but it's the fact that it almost feels like a different game that tries to replicate the sucess of ME, instead of being a sequel.
I really wanna give it a chance and finish it but whenever I have free time I'm just not motivated enough to start it up
