Just beat Peace Walker. Man the final line that Big Boss says in the post credit stuff "Outer Heaven". It made me wish for an Outer Heaven game next. Maybe something following Snake just before the events of MG1 or an actual remake of that title. It kinda feels as if this is what Kojima was leading into with the PW finale. I guess we'll find out tomorrow

Thank god he didnt [blackout]bring The Boss back from the dead[/blackout]. The game was hinting at it and after what happened in MGS4, I was hoping we wouldnt get a repeat.

Whats the deal with The Boss and Strangelove? Were they lovers?

Ubisoft worked on this game? The Assassins Creed II team was listed in the credits section

For a portable game, Im fout it took me longer to beat the game. I think my final game clock was ~ 26 hours. Granted there was the Extra Ops and online co-op thrown in there, there's still quite a bit of content to be found here

Anyways, now off to MG1 and 2 before I play MGS again.

Yeah Boss and Strangelove were lovers, I think she mentioned it during one of her tapes.

They weren't lovers, but Strangelove did love The Boss, and due to the time the game is set in, it's how she got her nickname, because she had a "strange love" for The Boss, keeping a picture of her on her desk. But her love was unreciprocated, The Boss' lover was The Sorrow, and the two (Strangelove and The Boss) never actually had much interaction.

Yeah, Strangelove had a one sided love for the Boss. The Boss never shared that same love.

Her bio states that although Strangelove came to love The Boss in the course of their cooperation, their association never progressed to anything beyond a one-sided relationship, and she was aware that the woman's attentions were focused upon a certain individual whose identity she was never able to confirm. In 1964, after receiving notice that Naked Snake killed The Boss as a "traitor", Strangelove began to mentally identify him as this "certain individual." The thought that The Boss died at the hands of the student she loved filled Strangelove with jealousy and anger, and she was unable to believe that The Boss had truly betrayed the country.

Metal Gear 25th anniversary announcement will "shake the industry".

choo choo ALL ABOARD THE HYPE TRAIN!

I need this now :csad:.

Plus it'll happen pretty early in the morning for us UK folk, I guess? Probably when the yanks are asleep, too.

Hmm...well, whatever time it is Metal Gear Solid 5 would be worth staying up for...but it's not guaranteed MGS5 will be announced. In fact, given the recent trend of Japanese devs hyping up big announcements that end up just being iOS games, I wouldn't be surprised if the announcement is "Metal Gear Solid is now available on iOS!".

Possible MG1/2 remake, new MGS 4 content and/or Vita game, or Peace Walker follow up. Those are my 3 (well 4) guess, that have nothing to do with a proper MGS 5

None of those seem to "shake the industry" unless they are really blowing that out of proportion which is absolutely possible. I mean didn't Geoff Keighly say he had a megaton announcement which ended up being a game we ALL knew was coming(CoD 10 or whatever number they're on now)

MGS5 announcement doesnt exactly shake the industry either. I think its the utilzation of the Fox engine which will do that, with whatever title Kojima uses to highlight it, whether that be MGS 5, or another game set in the MGS world.

My biggest MGS guess that doesn't really revolve around Big Boss/Solid Snake as main characters is the next game being an RPG, or MMORPG, set in the Outer Heaven days that utilises the FOX engine.

Mainly because Hideo said he wanted to make a game that was less cinematic and had over 200 hours of gameplay, and a game that could connect people. So, it sort of makes sense, at least to me.

That would be awful.

I like the idea of an Outer Heaven game, but not an RPG. Solid Snake pre-MG would suffice or a remake of MG 1/2. I can see it having RPG like elements (well more RTS) as PW had to a very small degree

An Metal Gear RPG would actually be cool, if done right.

Please, for the love of God, give us some MGS5 news.

It was good when Nintendo put in this much effort for the 25th anniversary of Metroid.
