MD: You could also probably find some way to spin it at the end that has a dynamic bloodied and exhausted Pete standing victorious and then the media (who's had their eyes glued to the screen) all unanimously get it through their thick ungrateful skulls that Spidey is a hero. (Not all of them obviously, but a larger than usual percentage) This then leads him to getting more positive press. (I mean really, being an Avenger isn't enough for some people?) I guess you could say the 'audience' felt that the Avengers were just looking for a member drive, some affirmative action like situation for Street level Heroes, or him 'being reformed from being a menace', anyways, this selfless situation solidified his heroism in their eyes. Then you could have longtime average joe supporters come out and snap at the long time critics. (I.E. if it's a news show and they're doing the epilogue, have callers in do this, or do it from multiple sources; news shows, people talking in bars or schools, etc) Showcase great moments were they cite classic moments that show Spidey's ALWAYS been a hero, then bam, he's ready for big time and a new age of Spidey is born.
Or something. I haven't really written a good story in years, I'm more of an idea man really.
