Playstation The Official PS4 Thread - Part 13

Yeah thats exactly it. I like the big tv experience and using the ps controller.

I still have not finished Uncharted: Golden Abyss on my PSVita. Every time I start playing I have the desire to switch over to my PS4 and just play on my TV. At this point I wish they made a PS4 port of that game (I'm a huge fan of the Uncharted series).

Me too. I've been holding on watching a playthrough on YT hoping that they'll make a port for the PS4.

kinda hard to do cause of how you had to use the touch screen and the rear touch pad for some of the game play etc

You do realize that Sony made a port of Tearaway and that had even more extensive use of motion/touch controls. A Golden Abyss port would require far less work than that to play on the PS4

Yeah, the touch pad on the PS4 controller would make an easy substitute. The only unique thing about the Vita version is that you have to hold the system up to the sun to finish some puzzles, but they can probably work around that and have the character point it up to the sun within the game instead.

I really wish that they would put Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories up on the PS Store with trophies. Think that'll ever happen? I bought the PS2 trilogy a while back and had a blast with it. I got platinum on Vice City and San Andreas (still working on GTA III though).

Any other games that you guys are looking forward to?

Here are some on my radar:

Red Dead Redemption 2
Spyro Reignited Trilogy
Last of Us 2
Resident Evil 2
Borderlands 2 VR

Resident Evil 2

The rest like DMCV, RDR2, God of War, Spider-Man, I would wait for an ultimate edition with the dlcs attached and a price cut. I still haven't played the Last of Us because I don't want another zombie game that isnt Re but I'm tempted as it already cut its price and there's a sequel coming and I want to judge it for myself. I'm gonna start playing the AC games soon after I'm done with my re ps4 marathon.

Now if GTA 6 suddenly pops out of nowhere, I would buy that instantly. Re3 remake as well.

I would highly recommend giving Last of Us a chance. It's not your typical "zombie" game, but it's hard to explain until you've played it. The PS4 version comes with the DLC and some updates, so I would go for that.

Yeah man, I mean your definetely entitled to your choice.. but I think the majority of ppl would say youre doing a big disservice to yourself by not checking out TLoU. Its much more a postapocolyptic/road trip/character drama than a typical zombie game. Think the film Logan with zombies instead of superpowers.. that sorta feel.

Ill check it out simply because it came from Naughty Dog. Uncharted 4 is still one of the best games Ive played in ps.

Yeah I'm planning to get it but videogame series with multiple entries are my priority first to play and the sequel to Last of Us doesn't even have a date yet.

Yep, TloU is a bit more than just a zombie game lol.

Ive seen gameplay videos of it and Im relieved that isn't like Re because I'm getting fatigue as of the moment with re games playing them back to back.

Can imagine. I loved the old RE games and will definitely play them all, but wouldn't want to do them back to back.

I've played 5, 6 and I'm almost done with 4 (Just finished It and i had to repeat bcos of a glitch) and I didnt remember re4 being that challenging and the fatigue is setting in. I was planning to play re1 remake and zero next as i haven't played them before but Ive read that they are harder so lol I'm saving them for some other time. And before those three Ive binged play Arkham and gta v and I want to play an open world game again so Ill try out AC next.

I was halfway through 6 a while back and need to get back to it. Have played everything prior to that except 4, which I’ve only started. I’m also a bit behind on Arkham. Too much to do!

6 to me well the easy mode all campaigns were easy for me especially when youve earned plenty of skills. While with 4 I really felt the survival aspect of the game. Arkham origins is the only one that i didnt play in the Arkham games as it isn't available for ps4.

Oh, I didn't know it wasn't on PS4. I was playing 6 coop so I just need to arrange again with the guy I was playing with. I remember once dying on the very first zombie on RE4 and stopping out of shame. :funny:

Re4 to re6 were ported to ps4 two years ago. Though i had to go to a 3rd physical store just to see re4, as I dont want to download a complete game from ps4 store. Also in my last gameplay, Ive saved Leon's campaign for last as it was the best out of the four. Though the prologue has to be finished first I think before you can select a campaign.

Worldwide total shipments for PlayStation 4 have reached 86.1 million, Sony announced in its financial results for the three months ended September 30, 2018.

A total of 3.9 million PlayStation 4s were shipped during the second quarter, which is down 0.3 million from the same period the previous fiscal year.

Sony has also increased its previous forecast of 17 million PlayStation 4s shipped in fiscal year 2018, which runs from April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2019, to 17.5 million units. The upward revision is due to the impact of foreign exchange rates, and an increase in sales for game software, PlayStation 4 hardware units, and PlayStation Plus memberships.

Here are a couple of additional statistics:

  • PlayStation Plus subscribers topped 34.3 million as of September 30, 2018, which is up 6.2 million from the previous fiscal year.
  • PlayStation 4 software sold 75.1 million units in the second quarter, which is up 5.4 million from the previous fiscal year. 28 percent of those sales were full game software digital downloads, compared to 27 percent last year

Wonder when it will get to 100m.

So 86.1 if it does the same holiday numbers of 5.9 that it did last year that would put it at 92 and I think it will do higher has there are more big games that have like just came out close to holiday time than there where at this time last year. Than you still have October, and like half of November that is not considered holiday season. If it does 1.5 in that month and a half you are looking at 93.5 and those are like on the low end side. I could see it doing more like 7 this holiday season that would mean 94.5 and that 1.5 million on the low end side for that other month and a half. So it really should be at like 95-96 million by the end of the year.

I'm not sure if anyone else has had this problem (and it appears to be a widespread issue), not just my own experience with FIFA 18, but after 9 seasons on career mode, I get an error message preventing me from continuing the game, (ERROR CODE CE 34878 0 - FIFA 18), looking on-line for an answer, there are none I trust to follow, has anyone else experienced this ? It looks to be in conjunction with an update made by PlayStation concerning their software for FIFA in general. Help please. Many thanks, all other games are working fine.

Ps5 better have a backwards compability. Like if my ps4 suddenly gets broken and the ps5 is already out by 2020, I wouldn't need to worry about my ps4 discs as I would just upgrade to ps5 and play my older games there while also getting the ps5 games.

Like God, I know stores that still sell ps2/3 games in discs but I can't buy them as my ps2/3 aren't working anymore. :(

I wish all future consoles came with BC.
