I tried to upload a video on YT after the update, it was simply impossible. The psn didn't work that much as a whole. I hope it's better now. Also, I didn't check yet, but if nobody created it, we should definitely create a thread for our sharefactory videos, now that we can upload them on youtube.

so I finally tried out the USB Music player. I like it!

the interface is pretty slick and easy to navigate, and I really love how you can play the music in the background and go and use other apps.

I think this will serve as a great "template" that future updates ( hopefully the next one ) can expand to include videos, pictures, and DLNA.

the thing is as barebones as can be. Future update really needs to upgrade that thing to allow for custom playlists as well as sorting by artist, album, genre, year....pretty much the stuff you can do on the PS3. I really hope that now that this is at least in the firmware that future games start to support it

except........I actually haven't been doing that recently. I haven't even been in this thread much recently.

so I haven't been going on and on and on about it. in the past, perhaps, but certainly not lately. not as much as before.

also, if another poster quotes you, that kind of continues the conversation.

besides, I've already said I'm toning it down.

there's quite a few things I could nitpick about the new update. but I haven't made post after post after post railing on it. in fact, the posts I've made have been mostly positive and praising what I like about the new update.

Haven't had much of a chance to mess with the new update but I did get it installed. Got WWE 2K15 paid for and only $24 left to pay off GTA V. Really need to use my ps4 a lit more than I am currently to justify all this money I'm spending on it haha

Has anyone here experienced any of the glitches thats have come with 2.0? The Rest Mode bug thats not allowing people to turn their PS4s back on has me really worried about installing the update. Right now Ive got my PS4 unhooked from the internet so it cant download the update.

Sony said they are working on a fix, but I wonder how long thats gonna take?

Yea my roomate and I have experienced that problem with both our ps4s. I don't use rest mode too much but it's still annoying that this is occurring.

so Rest Mode replaced Standby Mode??

I rarely used Standby, and now hearing about the Rest issues, I doubt I'll be using that mode either........lol.

I've been using standby mode for a while now, and after the update, I'm not having issues with it. I wonder what the issue is though and where it came from.

the only problem I had post 2.0 update was the initial PSN access issue.

I've had issues with the rest mode twice and had to unplug it then plug back. Turning it off from now on until there's a fix update.

So I'm finally getting a PS4 tomorrow. Gamestop has a trade in deal bring in a PS3 and get $125 towards a PS4. I have some other stuff to trade in so I'm hoping to get at least $150 in credit.

I would wait for Black Friday. I know I say that a lot, but if you're just looking to buy a PS4, you might really get some savings or perks. Like a free game, or a gift card, or a free year of PS Plus.

Especially now that Microsoft has thrown down the gauntlet.

arite first off, i think some of y'all are being ridiculously concerned about x's complaints. he's complaining a lot because sony is giving him so much to complain about, and every day that goes by that things go wrong with playstation, is another day playstation gamers are frustrated.

this Ps4 discussion thread is to talk about the Ps4, and for those of us who have it to talk about our experiences. if most of the time it's good we'll say what's good and if we mostly feel annoyed by it we also got every right to say how we feel. i'm with marvolo if you don't like it/don't agree with it it's really easy to just skip over it and say whatever you wanted to say in your next post. if it's bothering you there's no need to put someone on the spot or personally insult them *cough*broseph*cough*

coz yeah, as far as I'm concerned as a Ps4 owner I've had less enjoyable experience more often than higher, what with the PsN constantly being down, and the input lags, and the lack of features (yes, that is definitely an issue considering the competition has way more that they're enjoying).

i've been a playstation gamer for over 10 years and I think you cannot go wrong with either console. so i deadass for the first time might switch sides next year, sell my Ps4 for an xbone next year... NOT because of the games which is the most important thing, but for the service playstation has been providing. it's been sooo shoddy and now we have to pay for this crap. the hardware is better on the Ps4 but surprisingly I feel like it has had far more hardware issues so far than the xbone.

what's holding me back from ever doing that is just all the playstation games i love that i'll have to sacrifice ever being able to play, and that i still have a few months before my PsPlus expires and I don't wanna have to pay another $60 for XBL overlapping/simultaneously. i think i got it in april so maybe I should just hold on to my Ps4 till then.

I had a convo with my homeboy about this and he went full on xbot fanboy on me. hah.

In case you've run into this issue there seems to have been a fix for it, reinstalling the system software is supposed to do it. Hopefully this helps someone here. Guide: Can't Turn on Your PS4 from Rest Mode? Here's How to Fix Firmware Update 2.00 Issue

1. Turn off the system
First, you’re going to need to force your PS4 to turn off. Hold down the power button on the front of the PS4, and wait for it to shut down. When the orange light on the top of your console has disappeared fully, unplug your system, wait a few seconds, and plug it back in.

2. Enter safe mode
With your PS4 plugged back in, push the power button again and hold it down. You should hear two beeps: one almost instantly, and another after about seven or so seconds. Do not let go of the power button until you’ve heard the second beep.

3. Connect your DualShock 4
Plug your DualShock 4 into the console using the provided USB cable, and press the PlayStation button on the front of the peripheral to pair it with the platform.

4. Reinstall system software
You should now find yourself in the Safe Mode screen. Be very careful what you do here, as you could reformat your console if you select the wrong option. You’re going to want option three, which is labelled ‘Update System Software’. This will reinstall PS4 firmware update v2.00, which should solve your problem for now.

Again, complaining is one thing, excessively doing so over and over again is another. And what you and others who want to 'call out tha haters' seemed to have missed is that X Knight specifically asked if his behavior about this stuff was being annoying, and he got an honest answer from me and Soapy. Others weren't bothered, though they choose to express that like you did, by trying to tear down one's view to solidify another.

And no one was being insulted as far as I could tell either, so I don't know what the point of any of that second paragraph is suppose to be.
