it will be interesting to see who "won" this BF.

I'll be impressed if the PS4 can still edge out a victory even with the massive price cuts, deals, and bundles with the X1.

the gtav+tlour bundle was #1 several times on amazon, bro.
 
Yeah the online had some problems, but no one had Master Chief getting stuck in a hay cart.

............it's always those pesky hay carts you've got to watch out for. :o :oldrazz:

but yeah, I AM surprised they didn't release a Halo X1 bundle. ( aside from that BF deal WM had )

but anyways, it doesn't matter. I'm done with the X1.
 
any of you guys have issues getting a headset mic to work on your PS4? I have a Turtle Beach P4c and when I plug it in I get the pop up that shows its connected but I get no sound out of it. When I go into devices the settings to control mic and stuff volume is non selectable. I can adjust the speaker and brightness of the light but nothing else. I tried my other DS4 no luck and plugged in stereo headphones in the jack and nothing sound still comes out of the sound system.
 
did you take you X1 back or did you keep it?
 
I got the Sunset Overdrive bundle, but it made the grinding / clicking noise a lot of people described, so I brought it back. Unfortunately, that was the last one, so they gave me a regular black one with Assassin's Creed.

I just wasn't happy with it, so I brought it back. Didn't even redeem the Unity code.
 
ah, ok. didn't know you returned your 2nd X1.

guess we're both in the same boat.....lol.

anyways........I'm installing DAI (from the disc) in my PS4 right now. and this is one thing that's such a huge difference compared to the X1.

On the PS4, it took me about 2 Minutes before it was ready to start playing. 2 minutes!!

And another 4 minutes to download and install the update.

On the X1, it took me about 15 minutes before I was able to start playing DAI and about an hour before the whole thing finished installing.

with WWE 2K15 on the X1, it took me almost 4 hours before it even let me start playing ( at 99% installed.....lol )!!

edit: and it took about 45 minutes for DAI to fully install on the PS4. that's slightly faster than it took on the X1. but the key difference is that on the PS4 it only took about 2 minutes before it was ready to start playing vs about 15 minutes on the X1.

Never shopping at Best Buy again once I get my crap with my gift card issue fixed with them. First 3 times of explaining my situation with someone and being transferred to their gift card department my calls were dropped after waiting 20+ minutes for someone so each time I have to reset with explaining the situation to someone new. Then when I finally did get in, I'm speaking to a lady who I can't understand for the life of me and who doesn't know how to speak up so I can hear her even though I asked her repeatedly to speak clearer for me. Eventually I gave up on the call and said I'll cancel the order (I heard her say 'cancel', I picked that up), then I heard her say something like '24 hours...account' so I assume my gift card money may be sent back to the card in that time.

But I have a strong feeling I'll need to call them again because the reason I called in the first place was because my checkout screen glitched on me when I placed a $54.48 on a $105 gift card and the site giving me an error message and asking me to retry. So me repeatedly placing the order wiped the card clean and made my gift card invalid when it finally did go through. I'm willing to bet there's still a ghost $50.22 transaction on the card if after a day and my funds come back and there's only $54.48 on the card.

It is a pretty cool game. I still need to beat it though. I have a back lock of like a million games lol and this is one of them.

I think we might have spoken to the same lady.

Best Buy had great prices, but they really dropped the ball service wise. My bank actually put a hold on my card, because their glitchy ass site charged me three times for a laptop.

I didn't have any physical games, but the digital downloads took forever. Over 6 hours for Sunset Overdrive.

I also found the Xbox to be ridiculously loud. I suspect I had a defective unit, since, it was louder playing a blu-ray than my white PS4 was playing Last of Us.

Maybe if I had gotten it as part of some Black Friday deal for about 300 with Halo, I would have kept it. But at full price (I paid full price for the Sunset Overdrive bundle) with a crappy game, returning it seemed like the best option.

ah. I see. I really hope your new PS4 works out for you. so you can finally enjoy a new gen console.....lol.

as for me, well, I'm happy to be back on the PS4 and to have put the X1 behind me. :yay:
 
I can't help but feel there's something you're not telling me about that Xbox.
 
By the way, did anyone notice that the Vita like... wasn't a thing this Black Friday? Not one ad.

no. lol.

it was more of an annoyance issue. and I didn't want to hassle with replacing it.

that plus experiencing firsthand the long install times and the nagging feeling in the back of my mind that owning both new gen consoles wasn't practical or necessary.

so, if I had to take it back anyways, I decided I'd just be done with it and get my money back instead of replacing it with a new one.

plus, I haven't really experienced any issues with my PS4, so gonna stick with what I deem to be the more reliable machine.

I was not impressed with it. Too big, too loud, and too damn slow.

But the PS4 had a lot of little advantages that really added up. Like, a headphone jack.

May seem minor, but I absolutely love that feature.
