Anybody have issues with the rubber pads on the controller's sticks wearing out or ripping? I've had two controllers for six months or so and they both have had the left stick's rubber wear off or rip. I've NEVER had any controller wear out like that - the original dualshock for my PS3 is still in great condition...

That's actually a common complaint. One of my right sticks has some wear

Yea I had that problem too so I bought some silicone grips to cover them. It protects them and increases my grip at the same time. They can be found pretty cheap online.

Damn it, I had intended on gaming the hell out on my day off yesterday and instead ended up sleeping for 17+ hours! I swear I'm never going to finish these 7 games I have haha

So far so good. Played two hours of GTA V. First person is ****ing intense. Graphics look nice, but nothing mind blowing. Though it's probably one of those things where if I ever play my PS3 version, I'll see how big the difference is.

My first impressions with this console following my Xbone experience: holy hell is it small. And then "is it on?"

good to hear!

once you get settled in, do you want to exchange PSN names via PM?

the retro Dynamic theme is kind of cool.

I wish it didn't play the PS1 startup sound every time you go to another menu and come back.

My thumbsticks are in good condition still. And I play pretty often. Lets not get started on that horrible battery life though. :p Thank God for two controllers.

Sony needs to do something dramatic. I can't see them doing a price cut. But a free game is certainly possible.

Or, (certain) free PS Now games for PS Plus members.

Well they're still winning worldwide, so they don't necessarily have to do something dramatic yet. If the xbone's momentum continues then yes they certainly do.

When all else fails, price cut.

But they have really sat on their ass this holiday season.

that, they have. I've been saying it since the summer. LBP3 and DC, are nowhere near enough to compete with the likes of the halo collection.

And I don't think Sony can afford the price cut. If they could've they would've by now given everything M$ has done. But most of Sony's actions have been proactive, and M$'s have been reactive.

Sony doesn't need to overreact to one month. They've built up a healthy lead going up to November, and Microsoft had to cut their console price from 499 to 350 to edge ahead. Next year starting February the exclusives for Sony start hitting and keep dropping throughout the year so I wouldn't feel the need to panic if I were Sony.

According to vg chartz ps4 is at 16 million units and xbox 1 is at 9 million still fairly a large gap Sony shouldn't worry

People keep saying that, and it's misleading. Microsoft repackaged the Xbox One and sold it without the Kinect for 399. That is quite different from a conventional price cut. Microsoft isn't selling the Xbox One at a loss, since the Kinect cost most of that. There was the 50 dollar price cut, and that has made a dent.

Microsoft has Halo coming. Not a time to be complacent.
