What is the difference between a remake and a remaster? I am interested in hearing more about this ratchet and clank game because I am confused. Back when the first talked about it I got the impression that it was a complete new game like a crack in time, tools of destration ect and then I heard people say it is a remake or a remaster so I don't get where people got that idea. Because of that now I am just confused. I hope it is a complete new game like a thought it was going to be. What would be the point in a remake? We already had the game on the ps3 collection. What slightly better graphics?

A remaster is simply a port. In recent terms it refers to taking the original game and improving the visuals by upping the resolution and possibly adding new textures and increasing the framerate. With that said, its still the same game. A remake is new title. Its inspired by a game but its developed new from the ground up. Ratchet and Clank was already remastered for the PS3. They've said that this new game will be a remake which will streamline his origins with the new movie. Its inspired by the original game but expect new areas and content and this should look dramatically different as it will be a PS4 original title as opposed to a PS2 port

if you ask me, them shutting down support for 14 is just a way for them to try to get people to buy 15

PlanetSide 2 : PlayStation 4 Closed Beta Next Week

The closed beta for the PlayStation 4 version of PlanetSide 2 is expected to kick off on Wednesday, March 25th. Interested players are invited to head to the PlanetSide 2 site to sign up for the test.

If anyone doesn't have the Dino Crisis games, those for 96 cents are great. A shame that franchise died.

Well, there was only one that wasn't on PlayStation, which was Dino Crisis 3 (unless you're talking about PC and Dreamcast ports of the first two games, too, in which case I don't know), and yes, reviews of DC3 were bad because it was just...I don't even know what I would classify that game as.

Well, I don't know about all that, but this is the PlayStation one anyway. It's like old school RE, just instead of zombies, there's Dinosaurs.

Is Breath of Fire IV any good? Do you need to play the prior ones to get the story?

It's been years since I've played it, but I remember enjoying the BOF games pretty well. Pretty sure they are like FF in being fairly standalone. I'm thinking maybe they have the same main character, but it's like Ys in that each adventure is self-contained.

So, somewhat relevant to the sale above, apparently a listing for Gravity Rush Remaster has been listed on a Korean website for PS4. I haven't played it, but apparently it's one of the Vita's shining gems, much like Tearaway was, so it might be getting the console treatment soon.

I thought tearaway was pretty cool, but a tad bit overrated. gravity rush on the other hand if it is a good enough port/remaster I'd consider copping it for Ps4. then again, I am also probably getting tearaway since I just think MM is great and the Ps4 version is supposed to be different and better than the vita version.

I was able to follow story pretty well without having played the previous, it's been a decade since I played it but I thought it was amazing. Some really cool characters and overall story.
