I am glad to get some more info about this game. I thought with the game being 2016 and not 15 any more that we would have to want a long time for info or at least E3 even though that is almost hear. I have to say the pixle weapon thing looks cool and the fight in the lava level was awesome. The games graphics look about the same has when I play ratchet and clank on ps3 but of course on youtube videos are compressed so they don't look has good. So if it looks that good on youtube you know it is going to look really good on your tv.

So I just saw something about how this game is a lot longer then the last one. That is good to hear because the last one was really really short like 1/3 has long has crake in time. I also had no clue but I heard it is going to be $40 like the last one instead of 60. I thought it was going to be 60.

the last game was $30 at retail and it was shorter bc it was intended to be a smaller experience

I think they'll cut out and merge a few planets for simplicity's sake. I mean, in the Blargian Snagglebeast fight, they mentioned they're in the Blarg testing facility. The facility and Umbris (where you fight the monster in the original game) are separate places.

This may also mean they won't make Qwark a traitor like in the first game.

While I was shocked at just how short it was. When I beat the game I thought I was just at the start o the game lol.

I never played it and was hoping it would have wounded up on PS Plus by now. Maybe they'll do that before this new game comes out

I just played the game and it brought back memories. My god the visuals look amazing. It truly is a feat to be seen. There isnt a better looking platformer this gen

Ratchet & Clank Trailer Showcases Captain Qwark’s Dubious Narration



Hey everyone. It seems incredible that we’re just three weeks away from the debut of two great PlayStation heroes on PS4. We’ve joked that Ratchet & Clank for PS4 is the game based on the film based on the game… and that’s actually pretty accurate!

But the game has a major departure from the film: the game is narrated by Captain Copernicus L. Qwark. So you get Qwark’s skewed self-serving version of events to set up a different way to experience the story. He gets all the big details right, but the little asides are all him. As you watch our new trailer for the game (And play it for yourself next month!) — you’ll have to ask yourself: can Qwark be trusted?

We’re hoping that when you fire up Ratchet & Clank you’ll feel the rush you felt the first time you played a Ratchet & Clank game. But we’re going beyond that nostalgia with a gorgeous Ratchet & Clank that holds up to modern standards and is a fitting debut for the franchise on PS4. We wanted to tell the ultimate version of Ratchet & Clank’s origin story, completely synced up with the feature film.

The game will be available on April 12th and the major motion picture from Gramercy Films follows shortly thereafter on April 29th. For fans of the series we also have a pretty sweet pre-order bonus. You’ll gain access to one of my favorite Ratchet & Clank weapons of all time, the Bouncer, if you pre-order the game on PlayStation Store or at a participating retailer by April 11th.

The film and game are designed as complementary pieces. They tell the same origin story of Ratchet & Clank battling Chairman Drek, with the same major beats and character arcs. The film focuses a touch more on character development and the game is a bit more focused on the action that happens between the scenes. Our goal was to take advantage of what each medium does best.

It seems to be not-so-subtly hinting that Qwark also betrays Ratchet and Clank in the movie and the game.

Considering he became comic relief in the later games, I'm surprised they would't skip to that.

Embargo has been lifted and the game is getting AMAZING reviews. Current Metacritic of 86

IGN: "The 15-hour campaign follows some of the same whimsical, Star Wars-inspired storyline as the original game, but adds depth to characters while expanding the scope of the adventure." They gave it a 9.0

they've been promoting the heck out of this. I dont watch cable tv, but I see an ad for it every single day on the internet on the shows I do watch
