Bump. Now we can discuss the six alternate endings that Hackl said he filmed. He said all of them lead into SAW VI. But be sure to read what I posted about my theories and so forth.

six alternate endings :wow: i must know.

I would agree there. This also opened a week earlier. I thought it was a suprisingly strong opening for the fifth in a horror franchise. I don't think Saw is played out but I was afraid most people would. They do need to end it with six though.

Agreed, I want six to end this.

Kinda funny how you keep having to bump the thread don't you think, LS? :cwink:

Nope, not funny at all. Most of the time I come up with new theories and I jot them down before I forget about them. Now with that said.

@Nightmare, The Chris, and Bullets- David Hackl said he filmed six different alternate endings. All of them lead into SAW 6 and will appear on the DVD. Now the question is which DVD will they appear on? Will they appear on the first release of the SAW V DVD? Or will they do a special two disc edition where it has the alternate endings? Who knows. But he did confirm that he filmed six different alternate endings and all of them will be on the DVD.

But I'm beginning to wonder if it's just six deleted scenes? I can't imagine what the six alternate endings would be about. Unless they're very big twists that will play a very large role in SAW VI. We know it won't involve anything about the box Jill was given, Dr. Gordon, or anything like that. So the real question is what will the six alternate endings be about?

I was sooo happy that I had literally just watched the last four Saw movies before seeing Saw V. Everything was clear and fresh in my head, so that made the movie much more enjoyable.

But sadly, it was wayy too convoluted and contrived towards a two-part movie. It just doesn't hold up very well because not only do you need all of the previous Saw movies to understand the majority of the movie's plot, but it seems that Saw VI is necessary just to tie up all the loose ends, which is a shame. The movie seemed like it was a shorter version of larger script, cut into two movies. The ending of Saw VI better be epic...

6.5/10

tnc9852002 you took the words right our of my mouth. word for word what i was thinking. when 6 comes out i feel that 5 will be much more appreciated than it will be as a stand alone movie. the others you don't necesarily have to see the others to understand it (kinda with 4 but not as much as 5). with 5 you literally have to have seen the others just to understand it

what other horror movies out on the market in the past ummmm decade have had a story line worth a ****. Maybe you can pull a couple out of your arses, but the fact of the matter is the Jigsaw story line is fantastic. Yes, after soooo many sequels the films start lacking originality... but for what its worth, I loved SaW 5. I can say when I left the theatre after seeing saw 4 I was a bit upset with the overall film and the direction the series was going in. When I left the theate after seeing saw 5 I felt good about it. I actually wanted to see it again. The addition to the back story was great, acting by the main charaters was good, majority of the traps were better than the fourth films, and the twists and turns fit very well.

I do agree. One of the things I did love the most about this film was the fact that it didn't rely on over the top insane gore to tell a story. While SAW II, III, and IV were good films, many people tend to put them down because of the gore and ignore the story. All of the SAW films has had great stories in my opinion and SAW V just concentrated more on story than anything else, which is what I really, really enjoyed about this one. I could watch this one over and over because it intrigued me that much.

i agree, i'm glad there was a nice big bit of story in this one. from what it sounds like the director was interviewed for the scream 2008 awards and said he cant' wait for the directors cut, it's going to add more gore, add scenes, and rearrange other scenes while adding approximately 14 more minutes to the movie. while that's awesome to hear, i cant help but wonder what of that couldnt' have been put in the theatrical cut. i know on the fansite theres a link to a video for part 5 showing SPOILER jill coming towards the camera and saying 'i know who you are'. definetly hope they add this back in

whatever happened to the scene that dlb shot for part 4 that got cut with the glass box? that alone should have been added to a 2nd disc to make the 4th 2-disc set for the series

Ugh, I hope not. I don't want Jill invovled as an accomplice or as the heroine in any fashion. Whatever she has she can hold on to it and expose it should she deem it necessary. But if I'm watching the movie and see her remove the pig mask? I will walk out of that theater.

She's too obvious and having her say that line makes her an obvious choice to test Hoffman.

i loved it.

answered all my questions.

i do not want to see another one though.

perfect ender.

I saw this last night. Pretty damn good. I posted a bit of my theory in the Saw VI thread. But one thing I really have to appreciate about this series is how every film thus far has built upon each other. Most Horror movies that make it this far are always stand alone films whereas these films all build on each other. The writers are doing great, and VI would be the perfect time to end the series.

Three was the perfect ender in reality. But since they're already working on six that's going to be the last one.

Anyone else have any theories about SAW V? I just read another person's theory on how they believe that
Erickson might be tested in the next film
.

Although I don't know why they would go that route though, however, it would be very interesting since he already has it set in his mind as to who is behind it and he won't be able to find him since he has literally vanished.

I'll agree with that, since he's in that particular building looking for Strahm. Far as Jill, not sure if I would like it if she was a accomplice or becomes the new jiggs. Though I could see her being some major part by going by her attitude etc...
I just think with six being last one, they won't try to throw too many things at us..They just need to end it completely, but I also don't think they will, think they will throw in a teaser ending imo...

I was just debating with someone and they came up with a theory of
Strahm being alive after being saved at the last minute by someone.

As unfortunate as that ending was for one of the best characters, it's very unlikely and it would be stupid especially when you see it happen. It would be one thing if they ended the film with just the walls closing in and leaving it to your imagination. But
we see the walls closing in on Strahm, we see his bones break, we see the walls literally squish him and come together afterwards.

But it was an interesting theory but it wouldn't work and it'd be very stupid if they went that route.

For those who have seen the film I do have a question. I don't remember this particular part of the film but someone said it's there.

Okay, we know Strahm went investigating for information on Hoffman and found files of Jigsaw victims. Okay, one of the files has Dr. Gordon's name as a probable Jigsaw victim or a confirmed Jigsaw victim in the police files. One person stated that it confirmed Gordon was dead because Kerry and Rigg found his body.

Wouldn't that be a plothole though? Didn't Strahm come to the conclusion that after the murder of his sister he became involved with every single Jigsaw case? So I can't imagine him allowing Kerry or Rigg to do anything that could mess up his success. Can anyone confirm if the piece of paper stated that Kerry and Rigg found him? I remember seeing Seth's name on the list as well and Hoffman's name as the presiding officer on the case.

Okay, another thing I'm confused about still. Erickson told Strahm that over a dozen dead bodies were found at the abandoned warehouse where Jigsaw's body was found. Now once again, he said over a dozen dead bodies were found.

Dead characters in the building: Rigg, Matthews, Art, Lynn, Amanda, Jeff, Jigsaw, Timothy Young, Danica, and the judge. Now he said over a dozen dead bodies so are there more? He said two of which were cops so we know he was talking about Rigg and Matthews. I'm still trying to figure out what other bodies or who else might've been tested in that building?

Was at work today so I decided to slip into the theater SAW 5 was playing in and see if this person's theory was true.

As I posted above said person stated
Strahm could be alive since you don't see the walls crush him completely. He could've been saved by Jill who or some unknown person before the walls completely crushed him. But IF and believe me, the chances of it being true are slim, but IF he somehow managed to survive that wouldn't Strahm be useless anyways? We know his arms are useless, his back is more than likely crushed, and so forth. If he survived that he might as well be dead since he wouldn't be able to function anyways.

Holy crap dude...are you going to keep posting in this thread every few hours to keep it on the front page?

Holy crap dude. Are you going to keep posting in this thread every few hours even though you hate the film? Oh, and thanks for posting, you just insured yourself that it's going to be on the front page.

I also found out some new theories from different people who seen the film and I wanted to find out everyone elses opinion on it. Don't like it? Don't post in the thread.

He's definitely dead. There is no possible way he could have survived that. Not to mention if he did, I would think it'd be pretty weak.
