Let's be fair, you could pair Steve up with any female character in these movies and make it work because of his everyman quality. The only weird thing is that he's about 60-70 years older than most of the female characters in the MCU.

I don't think Steve's age matters whether he can find a date or not.

Wanda and Vision dammit! Accept no substitute. Besides, I'd think Steve whole thing would be that Peggy was his #1 gal. After he got unfrozen in the future all he is is Captain America from here on. It's like he said at the end of AoU. A different guy came out of the ice than went in. He's all about the mission. I think Wanda and Vision getting together like the comics gives them even more avenues to explore both of those characters going forward.

Normally I think going the comic route is the way to go, but after watching AOU I can't really feel like matching up Vision with Wanda just because the comics did it. This is a case where the MCU will have to pave its own route instead of following comics blindly imo.

Can't really say I'm for Wanda and Vision. Never really cared for it in the comics either.

About Vision/Wanda in the comics this is why they was put together

Thomas recounted, "I felt that a romance of some sort would help the character development in The Avengers, and the Vision was a prime candidate because he appeared only in that mag... as did Wanda, for that matter. so the reason why they got together was to give Vision character development, attempting to become human, so it's like Wanda was forced into it. I mean come on they got married/kids way to fast. Also in the comics it seems a lot of people used Wanda, Magneto saved her but held that over her head to get her to stay in X-Men Toad had a crush on her stalked her trying to get her to love him, Hawkeye liked her but I think Hawkeye just wanted one thing from her I mean he went to this girl to that girl. Vision to me he sort of forced her into the marriage, also when everyone find out about Wanda/Vision Pietro didn't like it her Dad didn't like it Hawkeye/Toad didn't like it and they wouldn't let it rest Toad even tried to kill Vision/Wanda, instead of them being happy for her they wouldn't let it go they thought they knew what was best for her. When M day happened almost everyone was out to kill Wanda or at least mad at her, Hawkeye was searching for her to kill her for killing him she did a number on the Team/World one of the first people who forgave her who wasn't out to kill her and wasn't anger at her was Steve Rogers! after all those bad things she did he forgave her when the whole world turned against her. Also Steve seems like one of the only people who really cares for her treats her like a person, believes in her lets her make her own choices, just wants her to be happy and expects nothing in return. Also about that moment

also I think its something Kevin Feige was the one who announced Wanda in Civil War, not the writers not the Russos but the great and powerful Feige himself and still no Sharon come on Steve/Wanda romance also this my not be true but still I thought this was something

Elizabeth Olsen was considered for the role of Sharon Carter in Captain America: The Winter Soldier before Emily VanCamp was cast.

Also are we going to let the fact that Steve is 96 but looks 29 that what it says on the wiki, I mean Thor is with Jane and he is 1000 I don't hear no one complaining about that, lets not let that come between Steve/Wanda Evans is [BLACKOUT]34[/BLACKOUT] but is playing 29 Olsen is [BLACKOUT]26[/BLACKOUT] don't know what age Wanda is but there really isn't much of a age difference, sorry for this to be a long post it's just after reading everyone's comments I just thought I would answer what I thought about Steve/Wanda.

^I've mentioned it (maybe in the Cap thread), but their ages don't seem too far off to be a deal breaker. Cap's supposed to be around 29, and I think the twins were early 20's-ish. Vision and Wanda, however, oh yes that would seem extra odd to me, because he just seems significantly older (because Paul Bettany is).

Nah, not really. Look at Thor, the guys like a thousand years old and nobody thinks it's weird with him and Jane.

Wanda looked 19-20ish because they dressed her that way. A more mature look, like the one she was sporting at the end, would go a long way.

Besides, these two look pretty perfect together.

The groundwork is there already. Wanda seemed fascinated by Vision when he was being created in Cho's lab and there was a shot of her looking at him in fascination as he conversed with Thor at Avengers Tower. And then there's the obvious moment where Vision rescued her. Even though the MCU has gone astray with keeping to the comics in terms of love interests, I think they'll keep the Vision-Scarlet Witch relationship because it's almost as iconic as Peter and MJ or Scott and Jean in terms of Marvel canon.
