When I saw this picture of the Nolans a couple of days ago, I thought it was the producer and his new actor for Superman. Seriously, Jonathan Nolan, in this pic, looks like he could put some muscle and put on the tights. :cwink:

It's too bad that Hugh Jackman is so related with the Wolverine part. He could be a great Superman, and he worked with Nolan in "The Prestige".

And yes, I am thinking of a Superman in his mid-30s, early-40s (but in good shape, of course). Someone in the sense of Hamm, Caviezel, Jackman, someone who, like Christopher Reeve, looked like a Superman and not Superboy...

I'm not a huge fan of Hamm, I think he would do alright as an established Superman. I'm still not convinced with the insiders saying older Superman though. For all we know we get a younger guy 27-32 y/o range in the end.

If we're going with older actors, I want to nominate Patrick Warburton.

Seriously, though, why couldn't he have been born in the late 70s? Dammit! Talk about the perfect height, build, and voice.

\S/

There's no way I could hear Warburton's voice without loling. That guy will always be David Puddy to me.

But Superman is a Kryptonian :cwink:

I think they are only testing Kryptonians for the role...maybe some Kandorians but thats a stretch...

Well he was raised in Kansas... and considering they never announced he wasn't from around here, i'm guessing in any paperwork that exists about him he is classed as an american... not a kryptonian!

I found this interesting considering that in your last post on this very page you said that Cavill is one of two men currently being discussed that you could support.

Actually didn't realise... guess it's back to Bomer then :p

Matthew Fox as Superman? Is this really a possibility? Wow... *jumping on the bandwagon*

Making manips is harder than I thought it would be lol. That was my second one I've made and it still sucks ha ha.

Well, Fox surely looked superheroish [sic] in the "LOST" finale. Tall enough and a good actor, so why not?

Hmmm, He looks like he could play a superhero, GA or Aquaman maybe? I can't see Supes in him tho..that Doesnt mean I wouldnt change my mind once I saw him in the suit tho.

I think it'd be a hoot if he was cast as Superman & Blake is in Green lantern as Carol Farris or Ferris, whichever it may be. Keeping it in the family & all. I saw him in Butterfly Effect 2 & although the movie was kinda meh, his acting was kinda good IMO. He certainly seems older on screen & definitly look more Superman on screen IMO. Thx for the feedback. Thought it was just good to throw another viable name out there.

You bet..It's hard to explain, but I look for certain features in actors i'd like for Supes, ie, square jaw, piercing eyes, broad shoulders, etc.
It usually only takes a glance for me when looking at a picture to decide if I would want that actor for supes or not. I know its petty to dismiss an actor without even knowing the acting ability of him, but I can't help it. They either have the look, or they don't.

He just looks bad when going out and putting tan crap on.

However for a film, he still looks good for his age.

This is from the Prisoner mini series

Looks good for Superman.
I'd still support him for Superman. People complain he's "too old" like he's Ian McKellan's age or something, which I find funny. :hehe:

There's also the fact that he looks nothing like Superman & pls don't post pics of him side by side with the Jim Lee superman because there is literally no similarities at all & it's embarrassing. Jim Lee's Superman much like all of them has a square jaw & chin, something both Caviezell & that Trucco guy lack in spades.

It's been a while since I visited this thread and I don't know where the "Older Superman" rumor came from. If the producers are going with an Older Superman, my choices would be:

*Jim Caviezel

*George Eads

*Matthew Fox

*Patrick Warburton

I really hope the producers have plans for a younger actor. I would hate to think this film will be a one shot deal.

Just my opinions, but I don't think Caviezel, Fox or Eads look anything like Superman. Warburton has a resemblance, but I have to agree with Ms. Dawes... he'll always be goofball Putty to me. Even if he wasn't too old and was somehow cast as Superman, I'd keep waiting for him to ask Lois for a high-five.

The Older Superman is not rumored..we're just what if'ing since they said this superman would already be known by Lois and Metropolis. To me that says he is already established, and I personally dont think Superman could be established in 6 months or a year.

Also, they said they're looking at a TV star that ( I forget the exact words) people are not talking about, but that its prolly your first guess ( something along those lines) People then instantly thought of Jon Hamm.

I see Warburton more as Captain Marvel..maybe thats just me.
