That inadvertedly made my point. All the past Supermans all have used the same classic costume layout.

I don't know by what logic my post made your point. You say all past Supermen have worn the classic costume. I'm saying Snyder is approaching this movie as if there have been no other Supermen. So, by that rationale, they'd probably go with the classic costume that is faithful to the comics as opposed to whatever illogical point you think was made to your advantage.

No offense Man of Steel, but I've seen better acting in community theater than what Routh did. Sure, the script sucked, but his stiff, deer-in-the-headlights performance did nothing to help the film. I thought he was actually worse than Bosworth, who was really only annoying because she was written as a total b**ch and was too young for the role. But at least she HAD something of a character.

Routh just looked like a guy who couldn't believe he was on camera.

Routh's a nice guy and for that I like him... but he couldn't act to save his soul. Just watching the commercials for Dylan Dog shows that much.

Before anyone asks, the cast on this is:
Henry Cavill as Superman
Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne
Justin Hartley as Oliver Queen
Sebastian Spence as Ted Kord
Benedict Cumberbatch as Lex Luthor
These are not all my choices, I just didn't want to use my personal DCU choices on this so I used Smallville's Green Arrow and Blue Beetle and Nolan's Batman.

It is a little too big but a bit more size as in thick and he does not need to be dfined as much because unless they do a suit like GL then you will not see definition as much.
His face, jaw and neck are great already. neck is one thing I thought hurt Routh. But SR was Petersons fault.

I don't see the lack of red undies as ruining "Superman's look". Visually it looks fine without them. I'm starting to think fans have developed a red undies syndrome in which they automatically look at his crotch first. .

But seriously, I just think wearing tights without something to at least slightly disguise the bulge, would look bloody weird (just watch the end of series 3 of LnC when Dean Cain is stuck in a black Superman suit with no pants to see my point).

With another 4 months to train, Cavill really could get to Hemsworth's size, or close to it. In those airport shots you can tell he's put alot of muscle on since he did that EW shoot.

That is just too big. Cavill needs more size right now, but nowhere near Thor levels.
