Wait... so are you the one who designed the shield??

No no, not at all. I've just done my own variations and tried different designs, some old some new, trying to see what would work best in a modern adaptation.

nope, andrewjmoulton didn't make the movie shield. it's hard to tell how much of those shield designs are his since they seem to be tweaks of other peoples' designs without any reference to the original sources. it looks like he's taking more credit than he deserves while self-promoting.

I certainly hope it didn't come across this way, the vector drawings i have created are purely for my own benefit. I do not wish to take credit for the final version that has been chosen for the film. I included the "New" Shield for comparative reference from what i'd come up with to what the designed themselves came up with

I'd say about the same, since the trunks would be about dead center anyways. Not better balanced, but certainly no less...

Its in the center on mine thx, but whats w/ the smaller uneven white dots in the \S/ itself?

How do you mean uneven?
The bumps are all equally big with the same amount of space between them. Is it possible to point it out? maybe i can try to fix it if i know where to look!

How could I not?

Red on the top (shield and cape attachment), red on the bottom (boots), blue in between (main body), with red cape running the length behind. That's how. It's balanced, and it works.

I think there is a red seam on his legs but not covering up his sides completely like that manip.

It's alien attire, we don't need to find the reason for every aspect of the suit.

if the actual suit looks this decent without trunks then i'll be a happy man. i hope they've put some sort of red design around the pelvic region to compensate for lack of trunks.
