That's some CSI stuff right there. ZOOM AND ENHANCE! LOL. I couldn't even tell it was in the original photo, but there it is plain as day.

It is not a darker tone than blue. It is darker blue because it is in the shadows. There's no red there and definitely not like any of your manips. You got everything pretty much right but the waist is clearly wrong, imo. Oh, and the thing in the leg is a seam, not a patch. They are probably gold, the same color of the belt and the seam on the waist is also clearly gold, same reflection and material of the belt.

The tone is darker than the area directly above the seam, which is in the same amount of shadow as the darker area. There may not be any red under the belt (as one version I did shows), but it sure looks to me like there's something darker above the belt. The fact that it looks like there's no use of a darker blue anywhere else in the costume leads me to believe it's red.

I believe the part on the leg is the same color and texture as the trim on the collar, around the \S/, and on the gauntlets. Which is the same color as the body suit. It's not black or silver as some a=have suggested. It just has a smooth texture and a bit of a metallic sheen to it. Again, I'm using the themes clearly presented in the rest of the suit to guess what might be in the parts not so clearly shown. I see no reason to think the areas in shadow or turned away from the camera would introduce completely different elements.

To say anything is "clearly wrong" is silly, at this point. If the picture was at all definitive, there wouldn't be so much debate about it.

I'm going to agree with SuperDaniel that it's dark in that spot because of the shadow only.

I'm hoping for some red in the waist area, just because the blue needs to be broken up by more than a belt. But I'm not going to say there CLEARLY is this or that. We need a full on picture before we can say anything is for sure.

You clearly have something wrong with your eyes. The portion on the right leg is most assuredly a raised, flat surface, NOT a seam. This is clear to anyone who has eyes to see it.

Maybe the belt buckle is connected to those seams and it some how wraps around the thigh. Maybe it's all the same seam connected from the area above the belt all the way down to the thigh.

Looks good, love the colors.

I don't want the tagline from STM again though... I hope they go with something classic, like "This Looks Like a Job For..." with the shield underneath.

Hmm I'm actually pretty happy with new shield. I was just worried they would overdo the edges and make it too sharp...but I can live with that^ :)

Since I saw this.

I figured I'd revise my S. Here's the newest version.

I went through all 14 pages and didn't see it. Someone did an excellent job fixing the hair.

I guess you are the one who has something wrong with the eyes because you can see where the seam ends and part of the blue suit on the left of the seam. Look closer. They're very different colors. It is subtle but it is there. It is just a seam and it is very similar to the one in the Earth-One costume.

That's what it is.

Okay, I guess I have to deal with the upper part of the \S/ dipping down to the outer edge... Why? I don't know, somebody felt that messing with the symbol that has worked for years would work better if they tweeked it that much....

But for the middle part, the 'meat' of the S to be so fat turns an acceptable shield into a ridiculous one... Especially with no tail...

I'm not delusional, I know I'm b**ching about small details, but it's the small details that they are changing for no discernable reason other than to be different, and it pisses me off.

I'd be a bit more understanding if they made a change based on general public opinion, but that's not the case... The changes being made are largely due to what bigwigs think is popular... Something different...

Underwear on the outside and tights were not popular, but it worked like gangbusters in 1978, cause it's Superman, and you don't f**k with it.

It doesn't connect.
Dude, look at the pic above. Cant u see the seem on the leg going up on the leg till it connects to the belt? And the seam on the waist connects to the belt also. I guess your dont have good eyes then or you're just being a troll.

I guess you never read the comics. This is clearly based in the Earth-2 S, giving a retro look and a nod to every incarnation of Superman. Just like the wrist things are in action comics 1.
