This lack of a casting announcement is making me feel exasperated. After all the hype, I feel like out of everyone I've seen, a cavill announcement is the only one that wouldn't disappoint me. Unless they pull some amazing unknown off the street.

and the Smallville one... eeek! I hope they at least make it look better for Smallville than it did in Superman Returns

The rumour I keep hearing is that, in Smallville, it'll be the SR costume, but with classic colours, i.e. red instead of (ugh...) maroon. I could live with that...especially since I hardly ever watch Smallville.

The manip is good, maybe a little skinny in the neck...

My problem is the \S/... It's my favorite design, but it looks like it was just dropped on top of everything. It needs to be tailored more to the chest for the manip... Make it stand out...

I know ... hell by now I'd even take rumors! The new Spider-Man film is coming out the same year, and we already have official pictures! Granted, this baby will land around December (really playing the deadline close to the chest, eh DC?) so there's still a loOong time to go... but seriously, this is making us all anxious.

Maybe because we can't be bothered to go to the trouble of altering a recognisable Superman costume, because we made the mistake of assuming people had the ability to look past insignificant details like that and focus on what the point of the manip is; what an actor would like in the role.
