Sequels The Official The Lizard in Spider-Man 4 thread!

The Lizard would work really well in S-M4 because again Connors has already been established. One thing I am concerned about though is how are they going to figure out some way to explain how he is going to regrow his missing arm? As far as how Lizard should look, as long as he looks similar to an actual lizard then that's fine with me but the one thing he needs is the lab coat. His lok just won't work without it. And hopefully when he talks, his voice sounds really cool.

ESTABLISHED???

he had like 4 lines, that's not establishing.

But the character has been introduced. He is Peter's teacher, and the guy that Peter brings all these problems to. It won't take that much more to build on before transforming him into the Lizard.

I had an idea about a year ago, that maybe Dr. Connors uses a needle and puts the serum in it, instead of drinking it. I think it wouldn't be a bad idea at all. or do what He did in the Comics and drink the serum.

^^ Yes! For me if he injects the serum into his arm, that'll work.
The *****-fied MARVEL/SONY would never go for an injection in the arm. It'll look too much like a heroin addict. Which is the route I would take. I would want to see Connors breaking out into a cold sweat in the corner of his bathroom, struggling in pain as he reminisce in horror (flashbacks) about losing his arm in the war--this is when we see the first sign of a slow and agonizing transformation into The Lizard. [Getting out of the house, as not to harm his family] also thunders in his mind.

But as light and fluffy as Marvel/Sony has garnished Spider-Man, the serum will probably be Kool-Aid.

I despise giving comic book films a PG-13 rating. It screws with everything within the writing process, yet fans don't seem to notice. Especially with a character like THE LIZARD, who's weapons are his TEETH and CLAWS. Which we will never see him use on anyone, because that means BLOOD!

Ready yourselves as the most brutal thing you're going to see THE LIZARD do in Spider-Man 4 is...GROWL.

Not true. I'm sure Sam is going to have the Lizard but the living crap out of Spidey. And the needle in arm defenitley would work IMO. I don't see how Son would think that would be a bad idea.

Dude, I love the needle in the arm motif, but I don't think Sony/Marvel would go for it. And The Lizard isn't Green Goblin or Doc Ock, he uses teeth and claws on his prey, much different from beating the crap out of each other with fists or/and metal tentacles (<--for some reason that sounded nasty).

I don't see why Sony/Marvel wouldn't go for it. And besides, Sam wants the Lizard in Spidey so I don't think they are going to tone down the Lizard. The Lizard isn't nearly as violent as Carnage by the way. There doesn't have to be alot of blood either. Scratches and cuts would work perfectley though.

I already said why Marvel/Sony wouldn't go for it, here it is again:
It'll look too much like a heroin addict.
Come on, do really think they're going to let you see a man sticking a needle in his arm, and shoot a drug like substance into his blood stream? Not gonna happen. They'll kiddy it up.

Well if they don't use a needle then I say go with Dr. Connors drinking serum. Or atleast something like that.

Um... in the "Night of the Lizard" episode in the animated series, Dr. Connors injected himself with a needle and then zapped himself with the Neogenic Recombinator. If they can use a needle in a Saturday morning cartoon, they can do it in a movie. Though Neogenic Recombinator should be forgotten entirely.

Is that assumption based on anything? What part of the series has been "kiddied up?" All three movies have been significantly more violent and otherwise more adult than any pre-Modern Age Spidey comics that I've read. Doc Ock systematically killing off a room full of surgeons is okay for kids to see but a man injecting a serum into his bloodstream isn't?

You seem to be pretty married to the idea that the producers of the series read SHH! boards, try and figure out what fans like and what makes the most sense, and then deliberately go in the opposite direction just to piss people off.

Agreed. Thats one of the reasons I think it would be fine for Dr. Connors to use a needle to inject the serum into his arm:up:.

Hey you know what I just thought?! How come they showed a bunch of needles going into Doc Ock's spine in Spider-Man 2? How come it wasn't an explosion that had the arms go onto him?

This is defenitley what the Lizard should look like in Spidey4!:spidey:

The Doc Ock scene was kiddied up, it was missing something, let me try to think what it was...ah yes...BLOOD. You can't knock the human body around with metal tentacles, that can throw a car half a city block, with no freakin' blood. Or are you forgetting that humans bleed?

That was done for the kiddies.

Hahaha...now that would just be wrong, although it makes me feel giddy inside. :oldrazz:
I think they will allow it.
I don't.

The Lizard can really call for some graphic and disturbing visuals, if someone had the balls to write it in the script and film it, much more so than Doc Ock or The Goblin. But I ain't counting on it, not with Lizard plush toys and Lolli-Pops being made beforehand.

Somehow I don't see the movie version of connors wearing bright purple pants.

Black pants would work. Or maybe no pants at all, let him transform while Connors is on the toilet. But I really like that design of The Lizard.

lol, on the toilet.

*Connors needs to go to the washroom while waiting for the serum to work*

*He's on the toilet, his eyes bulge, his teeth grit as the serum kicks in, but he assumes it was the tacos from last night*

*HOLY ****!*

Transforms into the lizard.
