Well it is in the comics. I'd love more helmet action too, but in the context of the film, it makes sense he isn't wearing it. He doesn't exactly get the chance to go and put it one once he's powered up again. I'm sure he'll be wearing it in The Avengers

I don't remember but how come he was able to get the rest of the suit when re-powered?

Well that suit seemed to be the root of his powers, or at least something that represented them. If you remember, when he gets cast out, as Odin says "I know take from you, your power!" he rips off Thor's power discs, and we see a few sparks fly out. They seem to have something to do with his power.

Thing is, how is that he canget his suit back but not the helmet? You said he didn't have the chance.

Well the suit is magically stripped from him by Odin, and then Odin magically re-suits it. The helmet wasn't involved in the banishment or anything, so it wasn't part of it.

Edit: When I say he doesn't have the chance, he pretty much goes straight to confron Loki. There's no reason to stop for your helmet, apart from head safety :P

But there was no specific reason for it not to be part of the whole suit. I mean, when Thor was sent to Earth he didn't came with his helmet, did he? He was stripped from the whole thing.

Well, other than the fact that they clearly chose to turn the helmet into a symbol of regality. No one else wears helmets either, except those on the throne and Heimdall.

Wow it's really high... I was expecting something like 70 to 80 max. But those american reviews are gonna be a tough crowd....

I don't know what you mean. I only went to see Thor because I was attracted by his abs ... I mean storyline. And I saw it a second time because of the pecs ... ummm .... script. And the third time? OMGShoulders!!!! Ermm .... Personal Character Growth & Development!!!!!

*cold shower*

LOL ... nice I know what you mean and I only seen the trailers . heehehe however I cant help it I am drawn to the badboy with the sexy voice .. I mean the younger brother who feels betrayed and alone .. thats it .:cwink::yay:

Don´t read too much into the RT rating, it´s high but the critics´ average rating is 6,8, that means almost all critics liked it, but weren´t blown away by it. The final rating will probably be smaller.

Yea thats how the RT works... if everyone gives it 6/10, the percentage will be %100 or something... but some critics do specify that only a 8/10 is positive, but it gets messy

I know, but I'm shocked that its that high. No doubt in my mind it will go down once american critics review it.

I doubt it will remain at 90+, even X2 or Batman Begins couldnt get a 90...

Yeah, well I'm sure by tomorrow reviews will start kicking in. I just hope it doesn't get super low.

It's not going under 80 if that's what you're worried about.

Yeah the helmet regrettably seems to be more of a crown than a Helmet.

In the Script, there's a scene,

where Loki makes fun of Thor's choice of design just before Thor's coronation. Just as Odin is going to name Thor the next king of Asgard the Frost Giants attack Asgard and he's never Crowned.

I would really love more "helmet" action. I think I will have to talk to my girl about that though

We all know that Thor is incredibly powerful in the film, so how powerful is Loki?

He holds his own for the most part in the Frost Giant battle. However when faced against Thor [BLACKOUT]he pretty much owns Thor...until Thor decides to fight. But even then he gets a few good hits in. But ultimately Thor is far stronger, he was just holding back cause it is his brother.[/BLACKOUT]

I know film makers are all about 'what makes sense' how about 'what looks cool'? thor looks cool in his helmet, so what if the helmet makes not a jot of sense, it looks cool. they also can't use the excuse you can't see thor emote in the helmet because you see loki, odin and heimdall emote just fine in their helmets. it's a crying shame, it really is.

Alright, watched it a second time. Everything up to the point where Thor tries to lift the hammer is great. After that, he learns humility in the blink of an eye. It's a great movie, but the way it ends feels way, way too fast.
