(It's about the book)

Did anyone else notice how Umbridge somehow managed to arrange her Staff Evaluations to correspond with Harry, Ron and Hermione's timetable? That is to say, Harry and Co. were always present when she criticized the teachers. She could have done her evaluations on the 1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year, 4th year, 6th year or 7th year classes but chose to do them all on the 5th year classes.

Or am I just looking too much into this?

It makes sense, since Harry is the one they're watching the closest. I remember in the book how certain teachers like McGonagall and Snape had to play along because they didn't want to reveal their part in the Order.

I love the scene in the movie where she's evaluating Snape. He's so perfect for this role!

Watching the Letterman clip after watching Dan's Conan clip really puts into perspective how much better Conan is. He seems like he is able to reach his guests more than Dave. It's also pretty obvious that Dave does not do his homework before having a guest.
LOL Dan is a manlet

I hope Cho has something to do in the remaining two stories, I really like the actress, and I felt bad for the character in the OOTP film.

She has nothing more then a cameo in book 6, and her future for 7 doesnt look to well..Jk rowling said Cho and Harry dont have any future together.

Cho was just a quickie for Harry. :o A little something something to tide him over until Ginny shows him what a real woman can do.

They should've kept the jealousy plot, even if it was tweaked. Going the veritaserum route, the audience does feel bad for her and does hope to see her again since she's actually pretty likable. Unfortunately there's nothing left for her in the remaining movies.

So what's the low down on this movie? Good, bad, decent?

Besides that, lol....I'm planning on seeing it over the weekend.

I may not be able to see this until next week, which disappoints me. I really can't wait to see it. And I can't believe Deathy Hallows comes out next week. It's going to be exciting and sad that it will be all over.

Well they've already deviated from how she was in the book from what I've been told, they may add atleast a small part for her in the remaining films.

Other than that (if you can really overlook it:o ), it's great. Easily the best acted film though there is less of a central plot than the other movies.

as a side question to those who've seen it, did Lupin have a single line?

Just saw it and it was great, probably one of my favorites out of hte 5 movies so far, the only thing that wouldve made it slightly better is if Ron, Hermonie(sp), and Luna (espically Luna) got some more screen time. I found Luna intriguing and wanted to see more of her.

Luna was my favorite new character in OotP when I read the book, and I loved the girl who played her in the movie. She was absolutely perfect. And they kept my favorite scene between her and Harry in the movie, when she was looking for her things that were hidden and explained that everything comes back in the end.

I like that they didn't have Cho sobbing all the time in the movie, but I felt bad for the way her story ended here. I know she doesn't really have a HBP from the book, but I do hope they bring a little closure to it in the next movie. It was sad!

One day the BBC will have to make a TV mini-series. That way all the characters can get their dues. I suspect they've deliberately taken out bits of Snape's subplot so that "Half-Blood Prince" can be more shocking to the general audience.

I wish that Tonks got more screen time; she's one of my favorite characters. And did you notice how she kept staring at Harry?

a girl came to my theater dressed as tonks. she got so many wierd looks. it wouldnt have been so bad if she wasnt the only onw dressed up lol.

I think Lupin has at least one line, although nothing is coming to mind.

Box office analysts predict that OOTP will make $125 million domestically during it's first five days at the box office. However, the WB is aiming for a more conservative prediction of $100 million.

BTW, OOTP opened with a healthy $44,232,338, which makes it the highest opening Wednesday gross (beating Spider-Man 2's $40 million). It also is #5 on the highest single-day gross (beating POTC 3's $42 million).

I say if it has staying power (as well as good word-of-mouth), it could be the second Potter film to gross $300 million domestically. Why? Most of it's heavy competition have already been released -- I doubt that films like Hairspray and I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry will pose a big challenge in the following weeks. But the release of the final book could really kill the second weekend that it's out -- considering that most of the fans will be reading the book rather than seeing the OOTP movie.

^ That's true, but interest in anything Potter, particularly the final book, may uphold interest in the movie.

True, but then again in the Order of the Phoenix book
She wasn't the snitch either, so they've deviated from how she was used in the books.

There's nothing to deviate from in the next movie. I don't even think she has dialog in the next book. Changing things is one thing, but they'd have to create something entirely to have any kind of significant part.

Yes, and since they sort of changed how the character was used in Order, they may want a bit of closure for her in the remaining film(s).
If not, that was a pretty ****ty way to end the character.
