Ben was a great character, even though the whole Clone Saga got a little bit crazy.

Yeah. Compared to other story archs in comics now, the Clone Saga is tame.

I've always said that even if you didn't like the Clone Saga, you liked Ben Reilly. Now if you didn't read the Clone Saga, and merely echo the sentiments of others about it.....

I'm undecided on supporting it, but my wallet supports it. I just bought 3 prints today including the variant.

All I saw was the "The Civil War is upon us! Whose side are you on?" poll.
That's all I saw at 1st too, but if you click on the 'Marvel' logo at the top, it'll take you back to the home page & you'll see the new poll then about the unmasking.

Speaking of which...anyone else think it's worded a bit bias? lol

Fixed, there's two polls, if you get the Registration Act one refresh

Ah, okay, I see it now. You can vote more then once too.

It's like....

Batman saying to the world he's Bruce Wayne
Superman saying to the world he's Clark Kent

Those are two big names and Spidey WAS one of the big ones. Screw you Joe Quesada, you freaking lard ass fanfictionboy!

i like the way theyre pooping on the brilliant Millar MKSM run where there was lots surrounding the theyre-tryin-to-unmask-him thang. i loved the bit in venomous where all those SWAT guys get pulvarised matrix-reloaded stylie. spider-man was back to kicking some ass (sucha contrast to some early JMS stories that still make me cringe [no matter how much they were well written])

Anyway guys, do any of you know Wizards take on all these recent spidey occurances. i used to like to hear their opinion.

I've heard little quips about Wizard's take, but most of it is hush.

Anybody with your name (Ben Reilly) is already a idiot in my book.
You are massively annoying. Why can't you leave people to their own opinions or just give a good argument for yours (which u cant in this cae, ^ that was just an insult) You do this on every board. leave us ben reilly fans be!!!!

*hugs*

*realises how inapropriate it is*

*coughs*

manly voice:
me too. me too...

But i think i liked him best for the sense of hope he gave when he took up the reigns of spidey. Maybe pete will recover that in a couple of years. Although i have been waiting about 10 now :(

I'm more pissed that Marvel doesn't even acknowledge that it exists.

I vote "No", because, as I see it now, there's no plans on going back. If, at the end of the story, there's a return, or a few years down the road, then maybe. Depends.

But right now, fresh off "The Other", this is sooooo stupid an idea.

This is the thing I do not support. I read the comic today, and I thought it was well done, but also it left me the feeling of excitement, because I don't know what is going to happen next.

I don't like him unmasking, because I do not think the Spidey character can be great as a Fantastic Fourish everyone knows who you are character.

It will be intresting to see how the story unfolds, but when I was reading it I was like you know, it's not like all his villians don't know who he is anyway.

^ how many stories can they do where it goes (1 )villain comes after peter and family or (2 ) peter causes some damage, gets in trouble with the law or (3 ) peter's responsibility gets in the way of a normal life even more, as now he doesnt need to think of excuses to go save the city, he can just go "sorry, not coming into work - venoms back!"

Well lets find out.

We've had 40 years of stories with him trying to hide his secret identity over and over again. Nos he has many more possibilities.

it's a roller coaster ride for me. while I may not agree with it, I don't see a reason to be fuming about it. It's not like they just announced that the character you've been supporting for 10 years was actually a supervillain plot from long ago. That he's actually a non-entity clone and is just a copycat of the real deal. Now THAT was something to be fuming about. Unmasking, well, its his funeral...
