What?
You thought FOX with Rothman's involvement would actually release an X-Men film produced by Bryan Singer and NOT have Hugh Jackman show up? Silly rabbit, trix are for kids.:nono:

Actually...

...that might have been Singer's doing as well, since he gets along well with Hugh. I did a quick Twitter search last night after I heard there might be a cameo, and saw quite a few tweets from people on the fence because they don't think he's in it, and...there you go.

I could have done without a cameo, but if it's what they're saying and the movie is good, I'm fine with it.

That's why I bolded Singer's name. He was entirely Singer's idea in the first place.

Suprised Routh didn't get offered a bit part.

[BLACKOUT]I believe it's confirmed that he cameos and tells someone to go f-word themselves[/BLACKOUT]
Haha, oh wow. If that's true, that's more in tone with the character than the entire [BLACKOUT]X-Men Origins: Wolverine, apart from the "I'm Canadian" line. :oldrazz:[/BLACKOUT]

Great to see so many positive reviews. Bit taken aback at Empire's 3/5 though. Especially where they say the film feels rushed and has a few too many bad FX sequences. So far the FX I've seen all seem top notch.

I'm not that much, actually. I really like the magazine for its articles and interviews, but I rarely bother with their review section.

I wouldn't trust Empire's reviews 100%. Go into the film with an open mind. I know I will.

I know, I think everyone saw it coming, ever since those tweets that said that he was on the set one day "visiting", and of course Singer and Rothman woulnd't let him go 4 out of 5 X-movies, but I was hoping for another cameo, but I really don't want to know if it is or if it's not included in the movie, I'm hanging on to hope.

Just realized-

With Hugh taking his fifth turn as Wolverine, he just surpassed Christopher Reeve about a year ahead of schedule.

"Shadowlord, that's twice now you've started a TDK discussion here. I'm giving you a break for now since you're new...but from this point forward, no more warnings about this."

Uh dude. I didn't start any discussion. The topic was brought up by someone else about how great the movie was. I simply asked a question.

The last time people were talking about which were the top CBM's. Someone else brought up TDK. Kedrell said don't mentioned that he doesn't even consider that abomination and others made disparaging remarks towards him. I simply backed him up with one sentence and then other people jumped down my throat.

So what you are saying is if someone compares a movie to a Batman movie and I question this then I get shot down?

Interesting. But as you wish.

I think X-men: First Class is going to be REALLY awesome. I think when you compare it to Nolan's Batman films it will be far superior.

Is that ok?

I mentioned that milestone in another thread. RDJ'll have him matched by the time IM3 comes out.

First of all, I'm not a dude.

Secondly, I don't care who started what. All I care about is that this thread not turn into a TDK discussion. We have a Batman forum for that.

If you want to compare TDK and XFC, go ahead...but the topic cannot derail into simply another TDK discussion.

If TDK didn't turn people into complete zealots every time the subject comes up, then we would let it slide. Unfortunately that's exactly what happens, so we need to make sure we stay on topic as much as possible.

Play by the rules, please.

Roughly how many reviews have come in so far that "we" are aware of?

They're all on the first post of this thread.

with it being premier week an all, this place is getting a bit to spoiler heavy, so, its about time I start avoiding this section.... see you all in a week or so, until after I see it

looking forward to some cool discussions...

bye

Nevermind.

I thought he gave a pretty decent review, actually.

Anyone here seen the film yet or know anyone who has? Empire's FX quote is playing on my mind. I really hope there aren't any Wolverine standard FX in this movie.

X-Maniac has seen it.

I never noticed any bad FX. I don't think they'd take that risk after all the hoo-ha over Wolverine.
