The Dark Knight Rises The Opening Sequence.

I think he'll at least be talked about. If they film a scene in Arkham, I think it'd be cool to hear his laugh in the background as someone is walking down the hall.

I think both Joker and Dent are guaranteed a mention. They had such a huge impact on Batman and Gotham.

At most I think you'd briefly see Joker's cell door. Nothing like a laugh, let alone an appearance.

But a reference (along with Harvey) is a given.

I think a Bat/Cat chase scene or Bane's prison break are both good bets...I'm leaning more toward the latter though.
The BEST news out of this entire audio interview with Wally Pfister is the fact that TDKR script surpasses BB & TDK..making it the "perfect trilogy". Nolan has done it again my friends. Let's enjoy this ride.
Yeah, that was my other fave bit aside from the Anne in wardrobe comment.

I think an opening sequence of Catwoman stealing from a museum, then being chased by Batman, and ultimately she got away and Batman had to make a quick getaway from the pursuing police could be quite epic for an opening sequence.

Bane will shut down Gotham's version of Times Square and call the Bat out for a showdown. actually i think it will be a darker opening sequence- focusing on Batman being scary again- kind of like the dock scenes in BB.

I could see a prison break or Bane breaking Batman's back.

I figure it will be a prison break scene, something to introduce Bane and give him a backstory to a point, but also have one hell of an opening action sequence to rival the bank robery with the Joker and his thugs.

i wonder if TDKR will be linear

I doubt it, we were talking about this earlier that Dark Knight is really the only linear Nolan film so I wouldnt be surprised if the opening sequence takes place chronologically later on in the film.

Maybe itll be at the new LoS HQ with Bane just killing everyone

If we are having Catwoman and Bane, then it seem logical for one to be with us from the start of the film, and the other to be introduced as the story develops. I think it makes more sense for copyCatwoman to be there from the outset.
If the story even develops chronologically.

TDK actually does have an element of non-linear editing, during the final sequence of the film. Cut over top of Gordon's narration, we get glimpses into the future (Dent's funeral, Gordon smashing the signal), the present (Lucius typing in his name) and an unknown time, although it's likely the past, based on the setup of the scene, location and wardrobe (Alfred burning the letter).

Also, I'm not going to get into it, but if you're ever interested, Anita will surely help educate on the notion that the drug bust with the Scarecrow and the opening bank robbery are actually out of sequence. :woot:

It most certainly is. The Bank robbery happens after the night Batman captures Scarecrow. The next morning possibly.

Opening scene:

Batman escaping a gaggle of GCPD swat dudes intercut with Bane escaping from prison. Show both these characters being bad ass to the BONE to set up their first confrontation.

I like that!

And you're basing this one what, exactly?
Simple.

The bank robbery took place during the day (presumably in the afternoon, based on the school buses).

The Scarecrow drug bust took place at night.

The crime scene investigation at the bank took place at dusk or dawn (as the sky still has light in it).

Since it was full-blown dark during the drug bust, we can assume that the bank crime scene either:

-takes place at dawn of the same day (therefore, before the drug bust).
-takes place the next day at dawn or dusk.

But, realistically, it would not have taken the GPD an entire day to report to a crime scene - especially one as high-profile as a bank robbery of multi-million dollars.

So either the bank heist and drug bust scenes are out of order, or the drug bust and crime scene investigation scenes are out of order.

I think thats more of a montage actually, I really wouldnt define that as non-linear storytelling. When I think of Non-linear I think of movies like Begins, and Prestige etc.

And I've never really thought of those as out of place, I guess they just work either way.

Like the two past movies the bat logo is the first thing we see

Large shot of gotham

Batman is being thrown through some walls by Bane.

Bane picks up Batman and puts him over his knee.

Bane- Like I said Mr. Wayne, I will break you.

Batman screams

Cut to a week ago....

TDKR script is better then TDK and BB? Back before TDK came out they said the same thing and I didnt find that to be true. But im glad they are confident in the movie!

Someone could make a lot of money selling cars on this forum. I mean, what else would he say? I'm pretty sure Lucas would tell you at the time that the Phantom Menace was the best Star Wars script he ever wrote.:oldrazz:
