The Reboot Joker

Bardem enjoyed a brief spell as a fan favourite before TDK. I'm sure he would do very well, but after the (admittedly awesome) departure in TDK from the more classic Joker, I would prefer to see the character finally get a faithful onscreen incarnation.

By a strange coincidence, I think any of the last three Doctor Whos- Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant, or Matt Smith- would be excellent.

If the last three Doctors were to be cast in the Batman reboot I'd like it to be:

Christoper Eccleston- Mr. Freeze/ Dr. Hurt
David Tennant- The Riddler
Matt Smith- The Joker

Matt Smith as The Joker? IS that possible? Wibbly wobbly!

Also a conceptional Work of mine of my imagination how the Joker could look like in the Reboot. I think he could have a darker and more psychotic look. Which means no pruple Coat and more intense Scars in the Face.

A lot of fan art before TDK looked a lot like that.

It's a good drawing. I think it would effectively be using the same concept as TDK's, albeit with some modification, however.

I'd like Joker to have a more sophisticated look this time.

More metrosexual than punk.

I agree, I think the costume department should really play to that lurid 'vintage' look he goes for. The Joker of the comics clearly thinks he has a lot of class. That suits his anarchic, narcissistic personality. I would love to see a development of a more classic take, that dresses him in fuchsia pin-stripe form head to toe. Somehow, the bloody violence he does seems more shocking if he looks more like a dandy than a monster.

I've wanted Michael Sheen for the Joker ever since I saw Tron Legacy.

Rhys Wakefield who was in the movie The Purge (2013)

Seriously, he is just perfect for Joker ! If not, then don't know who is ..

...Bafta nominated British actor and soon to be former Doctor Who, Matt Smith? :)

I genuinely believe he has the talent. I would love to see a screen test.

He has the potential I think.

Like said, he has a crazy vibe that's used to a good guy effect.

But there are times when we see Smith in dark moments as the Doctor. I think he can easily take those elements to the next level.

This might be an odd suggestion, but heck, I'll go for it anyway.

I think filmmakers would be wrong to try to match what Heath Ledger brought to the role. They need to find someone with a different take.

To me, the perfect Joker for the new films would be a little closer to what Mark Hamill did in the role: voices, manic energy, playfulness that quickly becomes scary.

I'd be very curious to see what Bill Hader (SNL, Adventureland, Paul, MIB 3, Tropic Thunder) could do with the role. He's a master of impressions and character work, and can easily bring a new energy to the role. I've never seen him play dramatic or threatening, but comedians are often very, very strong dramatic actors. I'd say he's got talent, a good look, and should get a screen test.

I think Matt smith would be perfect, though I also think Alan tudyk would be amazing in the role as well.

That actually wouldn't be terrible, just on looks and voice. I wouldn't mind the Joker being played by a comedian myself, but it would have to be one with some balls, not one of these guys that make lame jokes about their kids and costar in Adam Sandler movies.

Honestly, I would like to see a more cynical, fast-talking Joker rather than the kinda weaselly one that Heath played (not dissing him, just saying I'd like something different.) Hader would be good if you're looking for someone who sounds like Heath, but I would like someone like a young Dennis Leary. I can't think of any new guys like that, but that's what I would like to see in a Joker actor.

I'd love this. But I also want David Tennant as Riddler. So I'm destined to be disappointed as there is no way they'd use two Doctors.
