Also good news for all "Robin & Batman" fans. ;) Grayson and Damian are confirmed to remain in their respected mantles throut the year 2010:

Those drawings are amazing.

I have no words to express how crazy this is. AWESOME! but crazy
Now we'll end up with Batman being some sort of eternal truth or something
A symbol of hope, justice and all that stuff

Batman has become what Superman should have been a long time ago.

Also,
Christian Bale cameo in Jonah Hex movie please? :awesome:

Bruce- I'm going to show the people of Gotham that the city doesn't belong to the criminals and the corrupt.

People need dramatic examples to shake them out of apathy, and I can't do that as Bruce Wayne. As a man, I'm flesh and blood. I can be ignored, I can be destroyed. But as a symbol … as a symbol, I can be incorruptible. I can be everlasting.

Alfred- "What symbol?"

Bruce- "I'm not sure yet. Something elemental. Something terrifying.- BATMAN BEGINS :batty:

Bruce left symbols out in the world. He drew the Superman symbol, Batman symbol and so forth. He messed up the past as much as Darkseid did pretty much.

I remember speculation that both Darksied and Batman are sort of playing Devil/God with humanity by placing positive and negative symbols influencing historical events and people

Superman: Hey Darky! How bout you invade earth again and we can.. maybe fight?
Darksied: Nope sorry! Having too much fun with Bats!
Superman: :csad:

I haven't collected comics in years, but I'm getting this series.

Heh they changed the cover on the blog. I guess the 1st picture is a variant or so.

Then what would Bruce do once returning to modern Gotham?

Probably try to locate all those little ones he made across time. After all, a Bat can't live on violence alone. And there's that Mordecai reference to keep in mind. Klarion readers will get the hint...:cwink:

Like all the images, except the pirate one. That doesn't work for me, too busy.

if cowboy batman's horse isn't named tornado then someone dropped the ball

Connect all the covers and you get the top half of the bat logo in the background. :woot:

I "borrowed" this image from comicsalliance.com so credit goes to them. Can't wait for the finished versions.

I can't believe Bruce is returning so soon. I really liked having Dick as Batman.

I wish they would have waited a few more years for this, but I guess they want Bruce back under the cowl in time for the third Batman movie.

dc is on record as saying that dick will remain batman after bruce returns. how long is anybodies guess, but this story doesn't signal the imediate end of batdick

Morrison & Kubert interview:
- classic caveman action. Batman staked out by Neanderthals while he's dying of blood poisoning. Savage violence. Batman meets a group of 'archetypal', or if you like, 'stereotypical' characters of the kind which recur again and again throughout the kind of stories people like to tell one another – the big guy, the funny guy, the leader, the boy, the rebel etc. – and through them we see something of the beginnings of all our tales of heroism, villainy and loss.
- Puritan Batman's biggest challenge he'll face is to his sense of right and wrong, justice and fairness. He also gets to fight a Lovecraftian horror from beyond. In this one we also get to see the far future as well, as some of the series' subplots come into play, so there are a few familiar guest stars from the superhero world. (Please let it be Etrigan!)
- Puritan Batman design!
- Pirate Batman secretive, stealthy nature - his lateral thinking skills. Edward Teach, AKA Blackbeard the pirate shows up from 'real' history and DC's Black Pirate character plays a big role in this. It's a desperate treasure hunt into the darkest depths of what will one day be the Batcave. My inspiration came from vague memories of pirate stories and treasure maps with places like 'Dead Man's Cove' and 'Spyglass Hill' on them.
- Morrison on Cowboy Batman: Like any sane human being, I wanted to see Bruce Wayne doing 'High Plains Drifter' meets 'Unforgiven'. Simple as that! Our 'Man With No Name'-style Cowboy Bruce arrives in Gotham City to take care of some unfinished business and all hell breaks loose. I've only started writing this one, so it's hard to say at this stage who might make an appearance! I do know that Jonah Hex will make an appearance and I'm looking forward to writing him for the first time.
- Cowboy Batman design!
- Scrapped Victorian Detective Batman!
Noir Detective Batman design!

- Morrison on Private Batman: Batman has obvious roots in the detective pulps and hard-boiled fiction of the '30s and '40s so this was one way of making those links clear and playing up Bruce's investigative abilities in a story which puts him up against the ultimate opponent. This one showcases the abilities of the World's Greatest Detective…and there will be one or two surprising guest stars. (I wouldn't mind Thomas Wayne and Martha Wayne cameo!)
