The Avengers The Robert Downey Jr/Iron Man Thread

hi guys,

This is my first post. I have a few questions regarding the Mark 7. Like what is its capabilities, weapon systems and can it fly in space

I know it was obvious marketing but I like these individual TV spots.

I have a question about iron man.

Saw the movie the other night. but.

Other than
The amazing suit up sequence in midair

What else does the Mark 7 have to offer?

I'm not sure if I noticed much difference.

Um, unsightly grey patches to the legs and shoulders

haha i'm watching it again tomrw. i'll need to look out for more

I'm not a fan of Robert Downey Jr.

But that scene of him falling down the building was cool!

It has a Jet pack thingy in which he uses to fly while he's using his hands to blast enemies, you can see them detach when he falls from the wormhole after the nuke explodes

Iron Man: As a genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist, you'd expect Iron Man to make a great Tactician; players can also lean on the power of his Mark V armor and keep him as a Blaster.

OK, this is a comics related question (that just popped in my head while I try to avoid bouncing off the walls for the next 7 hours 'til I'm able to see Avengers in the theater and I haven't read the comics so.....yeah), maybe someone can answer this for me:

I know in the first Iron Man movie Yelsin (?) mentioned in the cave that the arc reactor could power Tony's heart for something like 50 lifetimes (and that was only the dinky Mark I reactor built in a freakin' cave! Who knows what the new element reactor could do?!?)...anywho. Has there ever been any indication in the comics that use of the arc reactor also slows down his aging or anything?

Like I said, just a random question that popped up in my head and wondered if there was an answer to.

Thanks in advance to anyone that answers :woot:

Those are some great costumes

Stark was prefect as the comedy relief member of the group he had all the best lines. And I loved his entrance in Germany with "Shoot to thrill" lol.

Downey more or less stole the show, but I did feel like some of Tony Stark got lost in the shuffle. He didn't seem to have quite the same "voice", and almost became a parody of himself at points.

I thought that it was return to form personally. I very much disliked RDJ constant mugging in that awful Iron Man 2. It was nice to like Iron Man again.
