the Wolverine game was awesome! better than the movie that's for sure.

Knowing how sharp most of ye are, you've probably noticed this, but I'll post it anyway.

Here's a SPOILER (albeit unsurprising) regarding the[BLACKOUT] life [/BLACKOUT]of a certain character in the film. The image is in the spoiler tags below.

Yeah, pretty much most people got that. Even without noticing the picture it's fairly obvious whose funeral it is.

It still looks like they're following the spirit of the comic's story if you keep in mind they referred to Logan's friend as a sort of 'king of Japan' and consider that Shingen is more than likely his son in the film. Hopefully we'll get that scene from the comic of Shingen sword fighting with Wolverine.

Looking at the trailer a bit more, I think that is Lord Shingen that's fighting with Wolverine. I guest in the movie they gave him hair and a samurai outfit.

Not impossible, but I think that's still Silver Samurai played by Will Yun Lee. Unless Shingen has a thing about Silver Samurai armour himself and Will Yun Lee only wears the more mechanical suit teased in the trailer.

Yeah, the person wielding the sword is moving really fast to really tell.

Spoiler

For sure though, the fight between Shingen and Wolverine is in the movie(the actor confirmed it).

I think the wolverine vs Shingen scene may be in the international trailer in the end where we see Logan get pushed out through the wall.

I wonder what happened there. It looks like Wolverine lies on the ground, then gets picked up and tossed through the wall. Phoenix has been revived! :wow:

Tachyon waves through SS sword. Keeping fingers crossed that's what sent Wolverine flying through the wall.

If he can do that, how sweet would it be to have some air cutting moves? Slicing objects from a distance, just with a swipe of his sword.

Thats one of my least favorite shots in the trailer. It looked kinda cheap.

Agreed. For me it's the second before the explosion, the train and the wall crash. Except for those 3 scenes, I thought everything else in the Trailer looked solid.

Nope, that scene is right after Silver Samurai jumps in his Gundam armor.

Yeah the explosion and I didn't like how Wolverine made the explosion, its totally very-Origins.

But other than those things, I have no problem.

I think the scene with him being thrown through the wall would be better if they edited so it didn't show him actually hitting the wall, but just cut to him breaking through the other side. When he hits the wall it doesn't look that convincing.

HAHA, @747: that was brilliant. Thanks for sharing that!
Give the man a cupcake! :awesome:

Can't see it because it's MTV US.

Not fair! They had Hugh read lines to the camera, using Wolverine's voice:

"I'm sure I have a coupon for that facial cleanser."

"I want two tickets for tonight's One Direction concert."

"What do you mean you're out of red velvet cupcakes?"

That was hilarious! :lmao:

Thanks for the info, Danoyse. That does sound funny.

Though it makes me think, I would love to see him on the Graham Noron show nearer The Wolverine's release. Graham's show is always funny and the last time Hugh was on it was great.

while i love trailer looking at only god forgives trailer i kinda wish wolverine had that type of neo noir tone and cinematography
