It allows them to say yeah Xavier Is around because his mind Is now In his idential twin brother's body now let's move on.That allowes The Wolverine to beguin promating DOFP
from studio and It allowes DOFP to just be able to jump Into story without spending much time on Xavier.

Personally I hope this reshot Is final scene of the wolverine and first look at DOFP footage is the post credit scene.

I much much rather the rumored reshoot stuff with Xavier is a post-credit scene than a shoehorned actual ending to The Wolverine.

Very Intresting Interview.

I am hoping there Is first look at DOFP footage as The Wolverine's post credit scene because any footage from COmic COn Is going to be locked down unlike 2002 when that trailer for X2 leaked.

Yeah I think it's safe to say the post-credit scene will be Prof X getting Wolverine to come back with him. They waited until now to shoot the scene because he has the right look for DoFP, it makes sense to me.

This makes a lot of sense, I totally buy it.

This scene serves two uses: The obvious promotional tool for DOFP.

FOX is dumb if they don't do this. Marvel Studios did it very well with Phase 1 and it paid off for them very well. Plus DOFP is coming out next year, they should start spreading the word with The Wolverine this year.

I got new shoes to wear when the movie opens. :awesome:

They're supposed to be out in June, but the ones I ordered already back-ordered into the beginning of July...so the Wolverine sneakers seem to be selling well.

Lost me there. I am content with whatever post credit sequence FOX chooses, but I don't want DOFP trampling its way into the actual narrative.

I wonder if Bryan is going to let those greys show! :wow:

This makes a lot of sense, I totally buy it.

This scene serves two uses: The obvious promotional tool for DOFP, and a chance to retcon Xavier's death in a throwaway scene. They can allude to the circumstances for X's return here and free all the burden of explaining it in DOFP.

Wouldn't work so great for people who see DoFP without seeing Wolverine though.

I'd think that if you're going to give explanation for why a previously dead character is now alive, it makes more sense to explain it in the movie that the character appears in and plays a significant part. Rather than sticking one random scene onto a stand-alone movie that mainly revolves around a different character and different storyline.

not if they tack that scene into the beginning of DOFP

I wonder when will the TV ads start airing on TV.

And does this film have any sponsorships? Its coming out in 75 days!

We just gotta wait for MoS to come out and then they will start pushing this film.. Also, I know people probably caught this but I just wanted to point out the relationship between Wolverine and Shingen. In the domestic trailer we get a clean cut Wolverine looking through the mirrors at a suited up Lord Shingen in the same room where they have their fight. In the Japanese trailer we get a bearded and long haired Wolverine watching Shingen fight in his samurai gear (head mask included). I think their relationship is going to be the heaviest in film and I can't wait to see it.

The Total Film article character profile referred to Shingen as [blackout]the "big bad" of the movie[/blackout].

I'm pretty DoFP will explain how Xavier is still alive, for those people that don't remember the post-creidt scene from X3.

So when are we getting the second trailer I saw a bus with the wolverine poster on it and made me think when we will see the next trailer

Good question. They need to have one ready for Man of Steel, at the latest, but hopefully it will be released online before then.

That really makes me feel better. I was starting to worry that they would focus more on the Silver Samurai as the main antagonist for this film. I just hope they keep with the story in terms of how Shingen hurts Wolverine emotionally and mentally as well as physically.

And seriously, the guy beat the crap out of Wolverine with a wooden boken. That's just badass.
