It must be some kind of Wolverine tie-in with Walmart, although they seem to have a celebrity hosting every year. Last year it was Justin Timberlake and the year before was Will Smith. Hugh wasn't the only one there - Tom Cruise, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend and Carrie Underwood also were in attendance.

Hugh at the opening, singing "Oh What a Beautiful Morning" from "Oklahoma!", changing the words to Walmart words:

There was also a cute bit where he said his daughter Ava was in a play at school that day, and his wife emailed it to him and he held his phone up, put the microphone towards it, and had everyone in the audience watch and listen to her (I saw it streamed online).
