Hulk#1 in MU.

That's Photon, aka Genis-Vel, aka a clone of the origional Capt. Marvel that has Sentry on his knees. The same kind of blasts that Thanos casually shrugged off. You might wanna rethink your thoughts on Sentry rapping Thanos if Sentry is on his knees from something Thanos shrugged off. Not saying Sentry at his full potential can't give Thanos a run for his money or even beat him, but it would not be a rape either way. IMO Thanos walks away with more wins than Sentry does, anywhere from a 6-8 outta 10 IMO.
Also, no I don't agree with Hulk > Captain Marvel.
Funny how you used panels from the Planet Hulk: What If?, considering Hulk died from the Warp Core explosion rather than be empowered by it.
Plus the fact that it was total rubbish. There's no way Blackbolt's voice would take Sentry out.
Well, it's an alternate universe.
Whereas 616 Hulk received a massive power-up thanks to the warp core explosion, he was promptly killed off in the What If?.
Yeah, people like to ignore that The Hulk was dead, nearly a skeleton from a single blast from a Thanos clone that would be lucky to be as powerful as the real thing.

Q: "if he ( Peter David ) thought Thanos was on a physical strength level higher than Hulk at any time he was writing (meaning various incarnations)."
A: "Yeah, probably. Thanos is kind of in his own weight class."
To some extent, sure, the Sentry's power level/emotional state would matter. But I don't think a mere whisper from Black Bolt should outright kill the Sentry at any level. That would probably depend on Sentry's power level at the time, though.
And I don't have the comic but did BB ever let loose a scream when he fought Thor way back?
Again, Hulk did NOT die from the blast and it was not from a Thanos clone.Thanos absorbed the power of the Terraformer. Thanos was a twenty-feet cosmically powered being. In X-Man & Hulk '98, Hulk and Nate Grey was able to defeat Thanos...Nate gave Hulk an Upgrade by sending his psi-armor which amplified the Hulk's punches much more and Hulk was able to defeat Thanos.
Wait, Hulk Died from a Core Explosion?
How powerful was this explosion?
Actually, it wasn't really a defeat, per se. When Nate reassembled the Stonehenge, Thanos was trapped once more.
That was in an alternate universe: Planet Hulk What If?
I was commenting that DevilHulk used panels from the What If? to display Black Bolt killing Sentry and Doctor Strange with his voice, to further strengthen Hulk standing up to it in World War Hulk.
However, the flaw is that the feat was from a What If?.
Whereas the 616 Hulk received a power up from the warp core explosion, the Hulk in the What If? was promptly killed, thus further signifying the differences between characters over the alternate Marvel continuities.
If anything, DevilHulk indirectly sabotaged himself/herself.
Nate gave Hulk an Upgrade by sending his psi-armor which amplified the Hulk's punches much more and Hulk was able to defeat Thanos.
Are you kidding? He came to hear him scream! And from what the others characters talk about the fight, it sounds like he screamed up a storm considering it knocked a huge junk of the moon into space.Although we never saw Hulk beat Black Bolt, I'm betting Hulk never let him scream....
Actually, it'd be you who left out the juicy part about the HULK and Nate's win. Kiddo.
