Comics The SUPERIOR Spider-Man - Part 2

Can't you give a proper answer instead of mocking me with a gif? I shall consider you as rude from now on.

Just saw a few photos from TSSM #28.

DON'T CLICK ON THE SPOILER TAG IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO BE SPOILED.

Peter Parker is in trouble, yet again. He now believes he is Doctor Octopus/Otto Octavius.

Huh. Love the art. Really do.
[BLACKOUT]It's a twist I definitely didn't see coming, and is very Slott-esque. I feel kind of whatever about it. Is this the status quo? I guess I'll just wait to see what happens.[/BLACKOUT]

LOL. You don't even know what you're talking about. Ho boy, are you for real?

I kind of feel bad for Otto. It's all about who raises you when you grow up. It's like he's a dark version of Peter.

and it's giving Peter an insight as to what Otto really is allabout by experiencing everything that Otto had to suffer all his life...

hopefully, this awareness and experiencing all that bad won't damage his psyche and corrupt him... he's got to keep fighting it and maintain his control over who he really is and not let the dark side of Otto take over... in effect, truly BECOMING Otto...

dark times and hard times seem to be in store for Peter on his way back...

Another great issue. The Pete experiencing Otto's life. JJJ announcing the new Goblin Slayers. MJ taking action (though, of course, I'm not a fan of her date). Poor Anna Maria. This series is going out with a bang!

Speaking of bang, anyone catch the Big Bang Theory gang? :woot:

Aloha,
So is N. Osborn really the Goblin King? I'll believe it when he takes off the mask.

We don't know yet.
It could be Normie for all we know...

The thing is, how old is Normie suppose to be? He was born in the 80's, I think, but kids don't age at a normal rate in comics, obviously. And then if you throw in that goblin formula accelerated growth thing...

Normie was shown months after the Goblin re-appeared and he still looks like a 10yr old kid. Unless he's using some kind of robot, I doubt it's him.

I've never heard of the Goblin formula ever doing that, only advanced aging.

Menace can revert back and forth.

Another thing that was big in this issue is the reveal of Carlie Cooper as a Goblin to SpOck.

I think it's possible and makes a lot of sense. He sets off Spock's spider sense. There's a reason behind that.

Don't forget that Norman lost control of his form thanks to the Super Adaptiod powers he gave himself getting overloaded by all of the Avengers' powers. Norman's mind was gone because of this overload, so this still leaves open the possibility of Pete's soul molecule in Norman's twisted mind helping to give Norman control over his body and Pete's mind being twisted by Norman's thoughts...

Aloha,

Wondering if any you folks saw the unlettered preview for Superior Spider-Man #30 courtesy of Newsarama? Well, having looked at it, two things stuck out for me:

1. The final cover for Superior Spider-Man #29 shows that it's Norman Osborn's face on the Spider-Slayer head display, yet in this preview, it's obviously been blanked out. That can only mean that this issue, or Superior Spider-Man #29, reveals who the Green Goblin really is or what he really looks like under the mask. (Personally, I'm now really leaning towards the idea that the Green Goblin is actually Normie Osborn taking a variation of the Goblin Formula that temporally makes him an "adult," especially after Superior Spider-Man #26.

Or, what if the Green Goblin is replaying on the Spider-Slayer face screens SpOck's confession to Alistair Smythe from Superior Spider-Man #13? Remember, Smythe was cyborg and, to borrow a line from the original Robocop, his memory could be used as evidence despite being dead. Not to mention it's just as possible that the specs Jonah gave Alchemax to build the new Spider-Slayers were cannibalized from Smythe's body.

2. I could be wrong, but I think the last page of this preview may have confirmed the theory that SpOck is not the real Doc Ock, and he's really a copy Doc Ock made of his mind and uploaded into the golden octobot, which was then downloaded into Peter. Which also means that not only was there no actual swapping of minds but that Peter never died in ASM #700, that Ghost Peter has been the real Peter all along, and that the Otto Octavious we've been reading about in Superior Spider-Man has been, for lack of a better term, Doc Ock's "clone."

Those are beautiful pages. Camo's stuff looks great with the right colorist.

So we would basically have been right since the beginning.
