Maybe that's the texture on the statue before they begin sanding it down or something? Making it smoother and more polished. It's obviously in an early stage, since there is no head yet.

i think its the texture of the statue and because of its size it has to be more prominent..otherwise it would appear too smooth when looking at it from a distance

Exactly, but this is just a perfect example of people looking for anything to nitpick and complain about. "Oh I'll absolutely hate this new suit if that's the texture of it" and going so far as to think that it is confirmation that the suit is nanotechnology. No, it's not

I really hope the suit doesn't change too much. I love the MOS suit. I hope that very little of the new 52 suit shows up. Don't like the collar of the new 52 and the red belt, not so sure. Not a fan of the 'armour' look about it.

The way the MOS suit looks is great.

That is exactly what I thought of when I saw it, if they are shooting JL back to back and if they do the death of superman story for JL it could be possible. P.S. I'm just speculating here.

I think people are reading way too much into the texture on that clay sculpt. I don't think that is the new design on the suit. It's just the beginning stages and obviously unfinished. Yet it wouldn't be the internet if people didn't freak out for no good reason

EDIT: Also saying that the texture on that sculpt CONFIRMS that the suit is nanotechnology is NOT speculating, that's stating fact....that you don't know

I never said that. If someone else did, they were speculating since it has never been confirmed publicly. However most of us do believe the suit will be revealed as nanotechnology. How cool would a shirt rip be revealing the \S/ closing over the chest?

I never said you did...but I for one would not like nanotechnology. Or armor
