some quick color corrections of the belt. This color is pretty much perfect. Thanks to Lamboman.

Looks great.. But when ever I look at these pics? My eyes are always drawn to that little (belt) buckle... Can't get over that little part...
The rest? Fantastic..
That little circle in the middle of the abdomen? Design flaw in my eyes..
I get the "no trunks" thing.. But even a red belt would look soooo much better to me.
Lamboman.. Do your stuff man.. Let's see that pic with red belt. With a slight curve to it..

Please... :yay:

I don't see the problem with the trunks. One day people will wake up and see that it's all silly and unrealistic and that thinking that getting rid of the trunks changes that was pretty absurd. We'll all laugh at how pretentious we were. It's all about tone.

Would the old Adam West TV show have been any less campy with the omission of the trunks?

Yeah, I think it's terrible. But, you knew that, lol.

We don't know anything about that statue. It probably has nothing to do with what the suit will look like.

I personally doubt the statue has much to do with anything.

I knew you were going to say that as I was typing how much I liked it, lol. But the main reason I posted it is for the texture. It's ideal. Exactly the kind Superman's suit should be made of in live action. Much better than the MOS texture and that statue.
huh?
Where are you getting that?
The comics are drawn with zero texture,so to suggest that any texture is perfect or how it should be is a bit ridiculous.

The MOS suit is supposed to be a form of Kryptonian/Alien chainmail.
And that's what it looks like.

The medieval chainmail crap was one of the stupidest things they could have done. And the texture should look like the image I posted on the basis that it isn't spandex or the default "tights" everyone loves to hate on and make fun of with comics yet it's not something that looks disgusting like snakeskin or is pretty flat out stupid like medieval armor.

Seriously medieval and alien is a pretty stupid combination. At least make it more technological, the whole point of alien is that it's something advanced and unknown to us, we should not be able to look at it and say "oh it looks like knight armor!", it should look foreign and futuristic if anything.

The texture I posted is something that looks cool but isn't distracting. And for a CG thing it doesn't look like plastic like the MOS suit and to a lesser extent the SR suit did.

Some just want the pijama texture back?

no thanks. one thing for sure is that one of the best things about the MOS costume it was the texture.

The phone-booth is part of Superman lore. Just one of those classic images - along with him looking for other places for a quick change.

I know.

But I can't remember the last time I saw a phone booth. I still bet we get a scene with Clark ripping open his shirt and revealing the suit, but all I'm going to be thinking is about the cape.

Like Snyder said; some can't let go of the Donner films when it comes to this one.

^^ I guess you're right. Not all thinks that way, I'm a fan of the first 2 Superman movies, but not pretending those are the source material instead of the comics. But thank godness is just a few minority.

This.
The whole phone booth change thing is something I think can be left out.
It would be out of place in 2016.
It's not necessary.

but I want the shirt rip :csad:

But where DOES the cape come from?

Or is just suspension of disbelief?

I do not read a lot of Superman material.. And I have always wondered about that. Was it addressed in some of the books?
Or does it magically show up?
Something that I thought was funny in the old Donner flics.. But didn't bother me..

The phone booth bit was out of style when the '78 film was made too but they respectfully referenced it in a slightly humorous way.

That. Is humor there.

We get "I just think he's kinda hot". Hurr hurr hurr. :barf:

but I want the shirt rip :csad:

...wearing the suit under his cloths is not practical...short or rolled up sleeves?

All they need to do to have a shirt rip shot is... Rip open the shirt (bare chest for the ladies :cwink: )and have the nano suit start to form around him...simple.

Like the yellow "belt" that was in the movie better. Maybe some red round it, but I want the yellow belt to stay. The buckle at least.

*sigh* It's just so hard to improve on the comics design when it was already perfect. Whatever though, Snyder.
